Can You Forgive Someone and Still Never Speak to Them Again? | A Therapist Explains

Can you truly forgive someone and still choose to never speak to them again? What happens when the person who hurt you is someone you love? A parent, a sibling, a close friend, or someone you once trusted with everything? For many people, forgiveness is one of the hardest parts of healing. We hear that we should forgive and forget, but what happens when the pain is too deep? Does forgiveness mean reconciliation? Do you have to rebuild a relationship with someone who betrayed you? In this powerful episode of A Conversation with Matthew Sanchez, Matthew sits down with licensed therapist Brandi to explore the complicated relationship between forgiveness, emotional healing, family wounds, betrayal, and setting healthy boundaries. Together, they discuss why forgiveness can be so difficult, how unresolved hurt affects our lives, and whether it’s possible to find peace without allowing someone back into your life. In this conversation, we explore: • Can you forgive someone without reconciling? • Why is it sometimes harder to forgive family members? • What happens emotionally when we hold on to unforgiveness? • Is cutting someone off a healthy boundary or a response to unresolved pain? • Can you heal without receiving an apology? • How do you forgive someone who refuses to acknowledge what they did? • Does forgiveness mean you have to trust someone again? • How do you finally let go of someone who hurt you? If you’ve ever struggled to forgive a parent, family member, former partner, or someone who betrayed your trust, this conversation is for you. Forgiveness doesn’t always mean restoring a relationship. Sometimes healing means learning how to move forward, even when the relationship cannot. 💬 JOIN THE CONVERSATION: Do you believe you can truly forgive someone and never speak to them again? I Got Married… Here’s What I’d Tell Every Single Person

That’s the one I’d use. It plays directly into the fact that you’re a married man now, but you were recently on the other side of this conversation. The thumbnail already asks “WHY’S DATING SO HARD?”, so the YouTube title adds a personal reason to click instead of simply repeating the thumbnail. YouTube Description Why is dating so hard? And what changes when you stop looking for perfect and start looking for healthy? Now that I’m married, I wanted to have an honest conversation with single people about some of the things I learned about dating, relationships, waiting, and preparing yourself for the person you’re praying for. In this episode of A Conversation With Matthew, we talk about why loneliness can cause us to lower our standards, why potential and patterns are two very different things, and why somebody else’s timeline should never become your deadline. We also talk about what healthy love actually looks like. Healthy love does not require perfection. It requires honesty, responsibility, and growth. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that you can spend so much time asking God for the right person that you forget to ask yourself whether you’re becoming the right person too. Marriage isn’t the finish line. Dating is about choosing somebody you can continue building with as life, careers, families, bodies, finances, and circumstances change. And if you’re single right now, hear this: singleness is a season, not a sentence, and it is certainly not a curse. You are not behind. You are not waiting for your life to begin. God is writing your story right now. So live it. If this conversation speaks to you, share it with somebody navigating dating, relationships, or a season of singleness. Subscribe to A Conversation With Matthew for more conversations about faith, relationships, leadership, mental health, and becoming who God has called you to be. #Dating #Relationships #SingleLife #Marriage #ChristianDating #HealthyRelationships #AConversationWithMatthew

How an Eye Doctor Built a $230 Million Company | Dr. Bob Wright on Leadership, Legacy & Service

What does it take to build a life that truly makes a difference? In this exclusive conversation, I sit down with Dr. Bob Wright, a man many consider a living legend in Columbus, Georgia. His journey spans nearly nine decades of leadership, service, business, and historic firsts. Dr. Wright became Columbus’ first Black city councilman, was one of the earliest Black graduates of The Ohio State University College of Optometry, served in the Reagan Administration, helped lead the effort that resulted in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, and founded Dimensions International, a company that grew into a global government contractor before being acquired by Honeywell. But this conversation goes far beyond a résumé. We discuss: * The leadership principles that shaped his life * Building meaningful relationships that last a lifetime * The lessons every entrepreneur should know * Why character matters more than talent * His thoughts on business, public service, and legacy * His friendship with former Columbus Mayor J.R. Allen * Witnessing Isaiah Hugley become Columbus’s first elected Black mayor * The importance of generosity in a world focused on self-promotion * And the one piece of advice he would give his younger self Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a leader, someone passionate about serving your community, or simply looking for timeless wisdom, this conversation is filled with lessons that can impact every stage of life. If this episode encouraged you, like, subscribe, and share it with someone who is building their own legacy. What was your biggest takeaway from Dr. Bob Wright’s story?
