I'm Rhonda and I help souls who feel lost or stuck in a life full of fear & doubt or are struggling with feelings of 'not good enough'.
It is my mission to help you to discover the incredible transformational power of Shamanism. And more importantly, in a way that works for you! We don't work with rules, boxes, 'shoulds' & 'should nots'!
Each podcast has an activity suggestion for weekly journeys and personal work, so knowing how to Journey is helpful. We offer a free intro workshop in our Facebook Community!
83. Are you facing a Dark Night of the Soul?
Have you ever felt alone in the Universe, unable to face going through the motions, having no real sense of direction, and feeling hopeless? You could be going through a 'Dark Night of the Soul' or a Spiritual Awakening.
Tune in to this week's episode, where I'll be identifying the main ways you can know if you're experiencing a dark night of the soul and just what can be done to support you through this challenging experience.
As always, there are lots of useful, actionable advice, guidance and journey ideas to aid you in your Shamanic Journey of Self-Discovery.
82. How to Recognise & Avoid Spiritual Bypassing
I firmly believe that the key to a healthy, happy and emotionally free life is undertaking deep personal work i.e. bravely facing your Shadow and working through your issues (with the help of your spiritual team).
Shamanism is a wonderful tool that enables us to do this but all too often in the spiritual realms we actually use spiritual practices as avoidance techniques. Using Spiritual ideas as a way to avoid personal work is called 'Spiritual Bypassing'.
Spiritual bypassing is defined as “using spiritual ideas and practices to sidestep personal, emotional ‘unfinished business,’ to shore up a shaky sense of self, or to belittle basic needs, feelings, and developmental tasks.”
In this episode, I'll be showing you how to recognise and avoid these techniques so you can stay on track with real personal work and not get sidetracked by "shiny spiritual objects'.
81. Overcoming the Negative Thought Patterns That Rule Our Minds
Last week we talked about common cognitive distortions – many of you resonated with this topic, so this week I thought we could explore some ways to work more effectively with these distortions.
You can use one or any combination of the methods described in the podcast to combat irrational thoughts and cognitive distortions.
Try them out and look for the one that seems to work best for you because we all respond to different methods.
I also recommend listening to last weeks podcast first if you haven't already.
80. Identifying the Negative Thought Patterns That Rule Our Minds
Negative thought patterns, otherwise known as cognitive distortions are thought patterns in our minds that convince us of something that isn't true.
These thoughts are usually used to back up our negative thinking. We tell ourselves things that sound rational and accurate but really only serve to keep us feeling bad about ourselves.
In this week's podcast, I'll be helping you to identify any cognitive distortions that may be ruling your mind and keeping you in patterns of stuck-ness.
79. Four Easy Steps to Lift your Mood
Sometimes we need a quick hand out of a funk. In this podcast, I'll run through some super easy techniques that you can use to lift you out of a bad day.
78. Finding the Time for Spirituality
This may seem like an odd question, but have you ever considered your relationship with time?
Most of us feel incredibly frustrated when it comes to time. I continuously hear my clients tell me, "I don't have enough time" or "wouldn't that be great if I had space to do such & such”.
Not to mention our societies gripping fear of ageing, regret, and wasting time– that is a lot of pressure we put on ourselves regarding time.
The truth is, most of us have a pretty adversarial relationship to time.
There's never enough. We're always behind. It goes by too fast. We can't do important things because we don't have enough time.
This week I talk about how daily (or even weekly) spiritual practice can redefine our relationship with time, so we end up feeling we have MORE time rather than less time.
I give you lots of actionable tips and tricks to help you redefine your relationship with time so you can start using it in a way that serves you and your spiritual goals better.
