Monkey brains

An excellent podcast with great subject matter and guests. occasionally I will hear jets flying overhead as my monkey brain tries to keep up with the subject matter. During the intro I can never resist giving my best Ken impression by deepening my voice and saying “hello Dawn “. Keep up the great work!

Putting excitement into the pipetting!

I’m a PhD student studying the gut microbiome and short chain fatty acids at Imperial College London. Whenever I have a long experiment to do and endless pipetting, it is made so much better with the knowledge that I can switch on STEM talks and hear from some of the most inspirational scientists in the world. They give me motivation to continue when experiments don’t go to plan and help me to realise that science is full of ups and downs for everyone. It is fantastic to hear from the experts in nutrition but it is equally as great to hear the extensive range of fascinating subjects in other fields. Thank you for keeping me on track and picking me up and instilling my desire to contribute to the world of science!
