Just simply LOVE it!!!!!!!!!

This was a great and fairly original lockdown idea by Ken, and such an enjoyable investigation for so long due in part the the charm of an amateur “sleuth” and an online FB group of local experts conducting a real-time investigation. Unfortunately reality seemed to hit when the producers didn’t get the results they were looking for. As the leads dried up and no resolution was forthcoming, they fell into the trap many amateurs do, of replacing investigation with wild theories on the back of unsubstantiated rumours to pad out the podcast as it ran out of steam. Once you get past episode 30(ish) we are into the realms of fantasy as the presenter clutches at every crackpot conspiracy theory that passes his desk, and then makes a few up of his own. Evidence is replaced by conjecture and sensationalism in a scramble to retain listeners, despite the haphazard production calendar that saw months go by without the promised editions being released. It fizzled into a bit of a damp squib. Its a shame because the case itself is incredibly interesting and deserves genuine investigation. The type that this began as. I hope one day someone will discover the truth about Fred and his identity. Unless the production values change, I doubt whether that will be this production.
