A number of years ago I was compelled to text into TalkSport to congratulate Max on his broadcasting talents after, on consecutive days, he proclaimed ‘elephants are big,’ and ‘giraffes are tall.’ I was excited to see that he had started a new podcast but was deeply concerned that a number of years later the magic he had previously delivered on TalkSport may have diminished. I needn’t have worried; he’s exactly as insightful as he once was. No more no less.

Max gets the hump with a checkout worker who is clearly having a bit of banter with a foreigner about another foreigners. Max gets the hump with someone who gets him the “wrong “ coffee. Max states that he doesn’t like children unless they’re his. On another podcast Max digs out a Newcastle fan over the ownership of Newcastle while working for a company owned by Murdoch that promotes sporting events in Saudi Arabia. He obviously thinks he’s a great bloke. He’s not. David seems nice. Why he’s working with this knob is unclear.

I started listening on Sunday and it’s joined me on my commutes ever since. About to start episode 8. It’s just a sheer delight and makes me happy and I love it.

Brilliant podcast that makes me laugh out loud a lot. I saved up 3 episodes to help me through 3/4 of the Barcelona marathon on Sunday. It helped a lot and again made me laugh a lot. However the comment about squirrels stealing nuts and then hibernating isn’t correct. The whole point of them hiding nuts is so that they can eat them throughout the winter which would make them quite a good energy company as they store them for a cold day. Keep up the completely pointless pods! The more the merrier.

I get that the guests will chat about what they ate - I love that. But my godddd David and Max I beg of you, you need to stop telling people their meal has too many calories, isn’t healthy, blah blah blah. Phil Wang is on a diet and says he puts soy sauce on lovely meal and you tell him that’s not healthy anymore? Nah.. not the vibe.
