无心咸心 It's All Right

栏目诞生介绍 An Introduction

但是“无憾”听起来又有些许的沉重,于是我把“憾”这个字拆开,一个树心旁,一个咸,一个心,于是“无心咸心”的名字就这么来了。

"While the word '无憾' (wúhàn, 'no regrets') felt too heavy, its weightiness prompted me to deconstruct the character '憾' (hàn, 'regret'). Breaking it down: the left radical '忄' (heart/emotion) combines with '咸' (xián, 'all/salty') and another '心' (heart) to form '憾'. Thus the name '无心咸心' (Wúxīn Xiánxīn, literally means 'Heartless Salty Heart') emerged, and by removing the heart radical (无'心') of '憾', you could also be arrived at '咸心'. This paradoxical blend of 'heartless' and 'salty heart' paradoxically preserves the original character's essence while lightening its emotional gravity through linguistic play."
