Top 10 Self Sabotage Beliefs keeping you stuck and how to heal.

Top 10 Self-Sabotage Beliefs That Keep You Stuck Why do we keep doing things we know aren’t good for us? Self-sabotage isn’t just about what you do. It’s about what you believe. Underneath people-pleasing, fixing, perfectionism, pretending, hypervigilance, self-sacrifice and staying stuck in unhealthy relationships are often deeply rooted beliefs that once helped us survive—but may now be running our lives. In this video, I’m breaking down 10 self-sabotage beliefs that can quietly keep us trapped: 1. “This is as good as it gets.” Be grateful. Lower your expectations. It could be worse. Just stick it out. 2. “How I feel doesn’t matter.” Nobody cares anyway. Just pretend you’re fine. 3. “I have to be perfect to be loved.” Be right. Don’t make mistakes. Don’t have problems. 4. “Other people come first.” Don’t be selfish. Don’t put yourself first. 5. “It’s all my fault.” I’m responsible for other people’s feelings and actions. I should feel guilty. 6. “Something bad is going to happen.” The other shoe will drop. Stay vigilant. 7. “I have to earn love.” Be useful. Earn your keep. Prove your value. 8. “I can’t trust myself.” Second-guess your judgment. Ignore your intuition. 9. “I can fix people.” If I love them hard enough, help enough, give enough or try hard enough, I can change them. 10. “One day I’ll be rescued.” If I wait long enough, someone will finally see me, save me and make everything okay. These beliefs can become the invisible rules we live by. After a while, self-sabotage doesn’t even feel like self-sabotage. It feels normal. It feels responsible. It feels like survival. But you can change a behavior over and over again and still find yourself right back in the same cycle if you never address the belief underneath the behavior. That’s where the deeper work begins. It’s time to move from a fear-based brain to a freedom-based brain, break the cycle of self-sabotage, and find and free your true self. ❤️ Want to go deeper? Inside Love Yourself First Empowerment School, I teach you how to recognize the survival beliefs and patterns keeping you stuck, reconnect with yourself, and begin creating your life from freedom instead of fear. How to stop self sabotage: Loyal to a fault.

Stop Self-Sabotage: Loyal to a Fault Do you keep giving people one more chance? Do you tell yourself, “They’re trying.” “Nobody’s perfect.” “It could be worse.” “Maybe it’ll get better.” If that sounds familiar, this video is for you. The clinger personality isn’t about weakness. It’s a survival strategy. Many of us learned early in life that love meant hanging on, sacrificing, staying loyal no matter what, and never giving up on the people we loved. We became ride-or-die, not because it made us happy, but because somewhere along the way we believed that leaving meant failing. So we lower our expectations. We settle for crumbs. We convince ourselves to be grateful for what little we’re getting. We keep waiting for someone to change while quietly abandoning ourselves in the process. That’s the self-sabotage. The problem isn’t that you love too much. The problem is the beliefs underneath your loyalty. If you believe love has to be earned, that suffering proves commitment, or that your needs don’t matter, you’ll keep recreating the same painful relationships with different people. Real freedom doesn’t come from finding the right partner. It comes from changing the beliefs that have been running your relationships all along. In this video, we’ll explore why the clinger personality develops, how this survival pattern keeps you stuck, and what it really takes to break free. If you’re ready to heal the root instead of managing the symptoms, I’d love to help you inside Love Yourself First Empowerment School. Together, we’ll uncover the beliefs keeping you trapped in fear-based relationships so you can move into a freedom-based life built on self-love, healthy boundaries, and authentic connection. ❤️ Learn more at www.lovecoachheidi.com #SelfSabotage #Codependency #RelationshipHealing #PeoplePleasing #TraumaRecovery #SelfLove #HealingJourney #Boundaries #AdultChildrenOfAlcoholics #LoveYourselfFirst #HeidiRain

How I stopped trying to fix my alcoholic dad and found peace.

How I Stopped Trying to Fix My Dad and Found Peace Growing up with an alcoholic parent changes more than your childhood—it changes the way you see yourself, love others, and move through the world. In this video, I share the deeply personal stories of how I spent years trying to rescue my dad, believing that if I could just love him enough, fix enough, or sacrifice enough, everything would finally be okay. What I eventually discovered was life-changing: His recovery was never mine to control. If you grew up with an alcoholic parent, you may recognize yourself in these patterns: • People pleasing • Over-functioning • Trying to rescue everyone • Hypervigilance • Perfectionism • Feeling responsible for other people’s emotions • Difficulty setting boundaries • Fear of conflict • Anxiety and chronic worry • Guilt for putting yourself first • Walking on eggshells • Becoming the “strong one” • Losing your own identity while caring for others • Attracting emotionally unavailable or addicted partners • Difficulty trusting yourself • Constantly seeking approval • Feeling like love must be earned through sacrifice Healing begins the moment you realize you don’t have to save someone else to finally have peace. If this story resonates with you, know that you’re not alone. Recovery isn’t about changing the alcoholic. It’s about reclaiming yourself. If you’re ready to go deeper into your own healing journey, my self-love course will help you break these patterns, reconnect with your authentic self, and build a life rooted in peace, worthiness, and healthy love. Most people stay in relationships far longer than they should—not because they don’t see the red flags, but because they don’t trust themselves. In this video, I share 7 signs it may be time to end a relationship using my PROMISE Method, a practical framework for healing, self-discovery, and creating healthy relationships. The 7 signs include: ❤️ P – Present Moment: You can’t feel safe, peaceful, or present in the relationship. 🧡 R – Release: You can’t let go of resentment, betrayal, or the past. 💛 O – Open to Receive: You’re emotionally guarded and no longer able to receive love. 💚 M – Meeting Your Needs: Your needs are constantly ignored while you’re busy meeting everyone else’s. 💙 I – Identity: You’ve lost yourself trying to save, fix, or keep someone else. 💜 S – Speak Your Truth: You no longer feel safe expressing your thoughts, feelings, or boundaries. 🤍 E – Enoughness: You never feel good enough, worthy enough, or lovable enough. Orphan Spirit and Love Addiction, Restoring Free Will Through a Psychospiritual Awakening

February brings the moment most people forget, the “reset after the resolution.” In this candid, full-moon episode, Heidi unpacks the underestimated addiction beneath so many others: the addiction to belonging, and the love addiction that can quietly trap us in self-denial, entanglement, and losing ourselves inside other people. Drawing from decades in addiction recovery work and influenced by voices like Tony Robbins and Carl Jung, Heidi introduces the “orphan spirit,” what it looks like in real life, and why feeling alone in a crowded room is often a signal that your true self is asking to come home. You’ll hear her “diamond in the coal” metaphor, her concept of “divine identity disorder,” and the foundation of her new direction: spiritual development that is grounded, embodied, and integrated with psychological truth. This season is about restoring your free will, reconnecting head and heart, and rebuilding a life that actually supports you. Next week, Heidi begins a powerful teaching series through The Wizard of Oz, starting with Dorothy. From 2020 Collective Trauma to Personal Healing: Reclaim Your Free Will

Hello 2026, I’m back, and I’m back for good. In this Week 1 episode of 52 Weeks to Your Diamond Self, I’m naming what I believe trauma actually is: when your free will is taken from you, psychologically, spiritually, and emotionally. From the personal portals of perimenopause and menopause, to the collective rupture many of us felt after 2020, this is about reclaiming your inner authority and restoring the “factory settings” of your real self. This year is about healing with love, grace, humor, and art, and moving forward in the light, not living in triage forever. In this episode, you’ll learn Why 2025 felt like a massive shedding, and how that can become rebirth A clear definition of trauma as “loss of free will,” and how it shows up in your life The core conflict behind so much suffering: power vs love, dominance vs submission The 8 “Crazy Eight” trauma patterns that hijack your life and relationships How to start telling the truth to yourself without self-attack, shame, or spiritual bypassing Week 1 homework (do this with me) Grab a journal and a white canvas, then answer these 8 prompts with radical honesty: Where am I addicted to control? What am I pretending about, or pretending not to know? What or who am I desperately trying to fix? Where am I overpleasing? Where is perfectionism running my life? Who am I victimizing, or holding to an impossible standard? Where am I lashing out, or holding someone hostage? What am I withholding, from others or from myself?
