Meanwhile on the House side, there are two Democratic incumbents facing off against each other in two different districts: one in Dallas and one in Houston. Susan Collins, something Democrats have been trying to do for time in memoriam. Mills dropping out is a blow to Sen. Chuck Schumer, who recruited the governor into that race. But Mills was trailing Platner and set up to lose that primary handily.
