She’s a mum of 3 young girls, a physiotherapist for women in Melbourne and she has an online community which helps pregnant women and mothers with exercises and support to help them get back to doing what they love.  We talk all things pelvic floor, what it is and things to look out for.     Julie: Hypnobirth_tribe

    In this weeks episode we speak to Julie, from hypnobirth tribe about “hypnobirthing”. Julie left the corporate world after having a transformative birth with her first son. She had taken the hypnobirthing course whilst pregnant and felt compelled to become a practitioner so that she could help other women too.  She believes all women deserve to have incredible births and she loves teaching the “Positive birth program”.     Wild Womb Witch: Early Birth

    In the first episode of season 2 we speak to Wild, from The wild womb witch, about "early birth" a beautiful term she uses to describe miscarriage in a way that honors the mother and baby through the journey of losing a baby while pregnant.     TW: trigger warning. We are talking about women birthing babies who have died. This may be distressing to some women. Please honour yourself and how you are feeling before listening to this episdode. Wild is a mother of 6 babies and at the time of recording she had 1 earth babe, 4 sky babies and 1 baby still inside her womb. She recently gave birth to her beautiful baby boy. She is a "birth keeper" who chooses not to be registered or certified to any body so she can fully support women in their births unhindered. In this episode we talk about the physical and emotional experience of birthing babies before term who have died. It is an important conversation as it is believed about 1 in 4 births end early.     Season 1 final episode

    This is a little bonus episode to finish season 1. I'm going to take a short break before coming back with a second season in a months time.     Claire's homebirth of her dreams

    In this weeks episode Claire remembers her two daughters births. Her first labour was progressing well until she got to hospital when everything slowed down and even though she had a natural birth and the doctors and midwives thought it was a very successful birth Claire did not feel like that. When she fell pregnant again 4 years later she knew she had to do things differently. She had a deep desire to own her birth. She prepared for her birth with hypnobirthing, reading positive birth stories and planning a homebirth with a midwife. Her plans were nearly derailed by her baby being in a breech position at 36 weeks. She had a beautiful waterbirth and felt empowered by having the birth of her dreams.  Claire has written a book about transforming as a woman. She shares raw journal entries and the work she did to integrate to a different state of consciousness.
