    Why All Those Islamic Migrants Flooded into Spain

While not a bad start, it's still far too vague on key issues like abortion and immigration. They also scratch their heads as the state party schedules a debate for a possible runoff but not the primary itself. Then, they weigh in on former Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes dropping out of the Democratic primary for governor as reports about his behavior towards young women in the party were set to come out. So far, the allegations are vague.     Iran Grapples With Widespread Power and Fuel Problems

    Mitch McConnell's Lingering Medical Mystery

They also consider GOP concerns about low voter enthusiasm in key states heading into the midterms, intensifying demands from Kentucky's governor for proof that Sen. Mitch McConnell can still do his job, and whether a "sore loser" law could cause more upheaval in the Maine U.S. Senate race. First, they react to Anthony Fauci blasting Gov. DeSantis in August 2021 for blocking local mask mandates in schools. DeSantis was among the first governors to re-open their states in the spring of 2020, which also drew Fauci's ire. DeSantis was right both times and his victory lap is well-earned. Next, they grimace as personnel from the right-leaning Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) are reporting lackluster enthusiasm from reliable Republican voters in the Des Moines, Iowa, suburbs. They say the same is true in other battleground states. Inflation and the economy are the biggest reasons. Jim and Greg point out that there isn't much time to change their minds before Election Day. Then, they report on the latest proof-of-life photo and written statement from Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell. There is still no timetable for his return to the U.S. Senate. Meanwhile, Kentucky Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear says McConnell needs to offer a lot more proof of his ability to do the job or resign. Jim and Greg also explain how the calendar plays a big role in this standoff. First, they get a kick out of Mayor Mamdani trying to issue a tough denunciation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Betanyahu while feebly admitting what we've always known: He has no power to arrest Netanyahu. Jim wonders if the left enjoys dreaming of things like arresting Netanyahu when they have to know it's never going to happen. Next, they shake their heads as a socialist activist in New York City tells podcaster Nate Friedman that socialism is just about community and getting to know people by watching sports and having coffee together. Jim and Greg discuss how ridiculous this message is but how the right needs to be ready to confront it. Then, Jim and Greg react to a clip of Hasan Piker calling the Chinese communist dictator Mao Zedong "one of the great leaders of this world" and "a man who changed the entire universe," insisting he never has and never will criticize him. Jim and Greg remind us that Mao's Great Leap Forward starved tens of millions of his own people to death in what's considered the deadliest famine in history.
