Exclusive Access to Tim Payne? Our Football World Cup Trip Shapes Up

The boys are back behind the scenes, and the World Cup is almost here. Seamus and Steve break down the wild Tim Payne phenomenon - how an All Whites right-back with 4,000 followers became bigger than the All Blacks in 48 hours after an Argentinian content creator made him the face of the tournament. Seamus has known Tim since he was 16, and with Between Two Goals heading into the exact camp that's now the most talked-about in world football, the dream scenario of exclusive access starts to take shape. Then it's all systems go for the trip: the daily Between Two Goals TV show following the All Whites across America and Canada, the mobile studio, walk-and-talk intros, and the small matter of Steve not knowing which city he's flying to. Plus reflections on two cracking recent episodes - former All Blacks manager Darren Shand on 20 years inside the machine, and futurist Frances Valentine - and a well-earned shout-out to the newly honoured Dame Susan Hassall.

Family Flowers Only with Hannah Kelly

This week I sit down with Hannah Kelly, who shares the loss of her mum and the complex grief that surrounded their relationship. For much of Hannah’s life it was just the two of them. Her father left when she was very young, and she and her mum navigated life side by side. But as the years went on their relationship became more complicated. Hannah speaks openly about her mum becoming increasingly isolated, the strain that put on their connection, and the difficult reality of grieving parts of that relationship while her mum was still alive. When her mum later died suddenly from a heart attack, Hannah was left carrying not only the grief of losing her, but also the grief of everything that had happened before. This is a deeply honest conversation about complicated relationships, anticipatory grief, love, and the reality that grief is not always straightforward. Hannah shares her story with remarkable openness and vulnerability offering comfort to anyone navigating the loss of a parent where the relationship wasn't perfect, but the love was still there. 453. A Spiritual Hug with Nadia Bolz-Weber

Today’s IGTBO episode is a spiritual hug – as previous guest and friend of the pod Kelly Corrigon called it – with guest Nadia Bolz-Weber, a beautiful writer, a fellow griever, and a pastor. Don't be frightened away from this episode if you are not a religious person – there won’t be any lecturing here. Nadia is not that kind of religious person. She’s the kind of religious person that, at the very least, inspires you to find the beauty in the world around you. And that’s what today’s episode is – a balm for your soul and a confirmation that a small, simple life is more than enough. You can find Nadia’s work on Substack here. You can share your okay things with us at ☎️502-388-OKAY (6529) or 📧 IGTBO@feelingsand.co  To support our show, you can subscribe to our YouTube content here. Check out the IGTBO Instagram here! Itchy Pubes, Friendship Fallouts & the Fear of a Shrinking Fanny

Today on 40ish, James is drafted in to settle the highly important debate over which one of the ladies is actually more down to earth. Nicole is sporting enormous statement earrings to enhance her brand new Invisalign teeth, whilst Lauren is having a deeply middle-aged moment refusing to throw away perfectly good ziplock bags because they’ve still got life left in them. Meanwhile, the podcast accidentally turns into an amateur gynecology clinic as the ladies attempt to investigate whether itchy pubes are actually a perimenopause symptom and confront the genuinely horrifying concept of vulval shrinkage during menopause. Because apparently nobody warned us that midlife would involve googling sentences like “can your fanny evaporate?” We also tackle this week’s dilemma from a listener whose close friend  and hairdresser cut her off after she politely explained she needed a cheaper salon. Was sending the message over text really that unforgivable? Or is this exactly why mixing friendship and business is a bad idea? Plus, one listener shares an infuriating meltdown after finally building up the courage to visit her GP, only to leave feeling dismissed, emotional and like she’d somehow wasted everyone’s time. As always, your stories absolutely make this podcast, so keep your dilemmas, meltdowns and most 40ish moments coming because honestly none of us are surviving midlife alone. Come see us hosting in the Menopause tent at the Everywoman Festival on June 13th https://www.everywomanfest.com/tickets-london Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/40ish-laughing-our-way-through-midlife-perimenopause-menopause--6942825/support. Life as a Woman Inside the Armed Offenders Squad: Sergeant Eseta Autagavaia

We see our country's Armed Offenders Squad in the most serious of circumstances - but who are the people behind the helmets and balaclavas? This week I met the amazing Sergeant Eseta Autagavaia, who, alongside being one of the few women in New Zealand Police's AOS, also plays netball at a professional level. She talks about how physically and mentally challenging getting into the AOS was, and how that experience and being on the netball court complement each other. From pre-planned jobs to unpredictable moments demanding calm under pressure, she shares how her mindset is her biggest weapon. A fascinating look at the life of a pretty inspiring young woman. Joanne McNally on her Dating Disasters | GREAT MOMENTS

Modern dating is… a lot. Between situationships, ghosting, and the apps that feel more like a second job, finding anything close to a healthy relationship has never been more complicated.  But on the bright side? It does make for some incredible stories. Joanne McNally is one of the funniest people I know. She made history as the first Irish female comic to headline Dublin’s 3Arena and soon she’ll be bringing her brilliant chaos to Celebrity Traitors. In this Great Moment, Joanne takes us deep into her hilariously chaotic dating life from the disasters to those awkward pillow talk moments.  Because sometimes the only way to survive the dating world is to laugh your way through it.
