I make sure he’s okay, kiss his forehead and then exit. When he was 10, after the kiss on the head he sits up and says “Dad…I think I’m alright with New Hampshire now” and goes back to sleep. So, don’t know what you said to upset my kid New Hampshire, but you cool now!

He bursts through the door, sword on his back, expecting stew in the pot and a hero’s welcome. Instead, he finds his wife in bed… with another woman. Rolf freezes. The two women look up, wide-eyed, bracing for the thunder of Norse wrath. But Rolf just blinks, scratches his beard, and says: "By Odin’s beard, I’ve fought dragons, drowned half my crew, and nearly froze me arse off crossing the fjords. And this is the warmest welcome I’ve had all year!”Then he drops his shield and mutters, “Next voyage, I’m bringing more pillows.”
