Mainroom. Danny Jarvis. EDC Anthems - Live 3rd Birthday Mix

EDC – Danny Jarvis: 3rd Birthday Anthems Mix  Three years of Early Doors Club has delivered some huge dancefloor moments - where underground energy meets pure nostalgia. Every gig has its magic, but there are always those special tunes: a cheeky remixed classic dropped at just the right moment, catching the crowd off guard and lifting the room. This closing set didn’t mess about. It’s packed with reworked gems from the early ’90s, with a special nod to 1996 - celebrating the 30-year anniversaries of records I was playing first time round. It was an EDC Anthems night, after all. If you were there, press play and relive the feels. If you weren’t… this is what you missed. 💜🔥 Cristoph, Pete Tong & Paul Rogers - Where's The Music GoneDee Montero - Together [FUTRESCOPE]Kamilo Sanclemente, Andre Moret - Mirage (Original Mix)Xpansions - Move Your Body (Elevation) (Krystal Klear Extended Remix)Xpansions - Move Your Body (Elevation) (Shadow Child Remix)Gipsy - I Trance You (Richie Blacker Rave Spirit Remix)Richie Blacker - Unified (Original Mix)Evoke - Runaway (Framewerk DJ Friendly Rewerk)Spooky - Little Bullet (Framewerk Live DJ Friendly Rewerk)Crescendo - Are You Out There (Framewerk DJ Friendly Rewerk)Fluke - Slid (Framewerk DJ Friendly Rewerk)Mory Kanté - Yeke Yeke (Hardfloor Dub)Mory Kanté - Yeke Yeke [Hardfloor Mix]New Order - Blue Monday (Hardfloor Remix) (HD)Underworld - Dark & Long (D-Nox & Emi Galvan Remix)Josh Wink - Higher State Of Consciousness (Adana Twins Remix Two)Schiller - Das Glockenspiel (Humate Remix) (2000)Sasha & Sentre - Glastacy [LNOE157]Evolution - Phoenix (Guy J Remix) [Free Download]Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence (Framewerk Four Four Vocal Rewerk)Framewerk - Together (We Are Unified) (2024 Mix) [Capital Heaven]

    13 JAN

Room 2. Neil Craven - The Spectrum (Nu Disco)

We're still buzzing that we handed over Room 2 to someone who lives and breathes the music – the brilliant Neil Craven. “Initially falling into dance music through the sounds of the late Larry Levan and Frankie Knuckles and loving the soulful house and disco sounds they played, it progressed into a love of pretty much all forms of dance music,” says Neil. From the Old Skool 88–92 Acid House era to the early progressive sounds of labels like Stress, Jackpot, Bedrock and Skinnymalinkey, Neil's DJ journey started in 1994, took a 17-year pause, and reignited in 2014. Since then, he’s been building back with serious groove – playing everything from House, Techno and Progressive to Disco, Edits and Old Skool. Room 2 is all about eclectic sounds, deep, diverse, and full of heart. A true selector doing it for the love. Here's a Nu Disco mix to keep you all tapping those toes! 10 JAN

Room 2. Nick Rodger - The Void (Jan 2026)

I’ve wanted to play Room 2 at Early Doors Club since the very first event at the new venue in 2025. So when I was asked to join Neil Craven at the December show, I was genuinely thrilled. My very busy musical mind got the better of me, and I ended up preparing more than 1,200 tracks - spanning ambient and chill, through deep house, and right into breaks and electro. Something for everyone. Overkill? Maybe. Eclectic? Absolutely. This mix, my first of 2026, captures elements of my set from Early Doors Club at the end of December, while still carrying some of the fingerprints of The Void. It’s a musical blueprint for the year ahead. I hope you enjoy. 6. History. 1988 Inside Acid House Parties & Ecstasy! A Trip Round Acid House (World In Action Doc)

    8 JAN

History. 1988 Inside Acid House Parties & Ecstasy! A Trip Round Acid House (World In Action Doc)

This episode brings together the full audio from the 1988 World In Action documentary, presented as one complete listening experience. You may have seen the clips from this doc that we shared in short chunks on our Instagram feed. The post engagement went mental! This episode exists to give the documentary the space it deserves; uninterrupted, in full, and in its original narrative form. You can also watch it on our Youtube playlist Originally broadcast by World In Action, the documentary follows a coachload of young people travelling from London to secret Acid House parties during the height of late-1980s moral panic around dance music and Ecstasy. Police roadblocks, dramatic narration, and sensationalist framing reflect how the movement was portrayed at the time. What’s striking today is how wide the gap is between perception and reality. Beneath the scare-mongering language and flashing blue lights are interviews with ordinary young people — not criminals or threats to society, but kids looking for freedom, connection, and an alternative to the mainstream nightlife of the era. In truth, the “safe” Saturday-night options being defended weren’t necessarily safer at all. This documentary captures a pivotal cultural moment. Acid House wasn’t just a sound it was a shift. A move toward inclusion, shared experience, and spaces where music came before ego or image. Those values still matter. They’re the foundations of club culture as we know it today, and they’re exactly what Early Doors Club is built on. Community. Good people. Great music. The way it’s always been. 7. History. Carl Cox on Over 30 Years of DJ’ing

    1 JAN

History. Carl Cox on Over 30 Years of DJ’ing

Carl Cox on Over 30 Years of DJ’ing Early Doors Club Podcast – Episode 1 In this episode of the Early Doors Club Podcast, we revisit a powerful and reflective interview with Carl Cox, originally broadcast on Channel 4 News, where he speaks with Krishnan Guru-Murthy about a lifetime dedicated to music, culture, and the dancefloor. Carl Cox is one of the original superstar DJs of the late 80s and 90s and a true pioneer of UK club culture to this day. From the acid house explosion and unregulated warehouse parties to global festivals, clubs, and Ibiza residencies, Carl has not only witnessed the evolution of electronic music,  he helped shape it. In this conversation, Carl reflects on over 30 years of DJ’ing, discussing how his craft has evolved, how the music industry has changed, and why he still believes deeply in the power of the dancefloor. He also shares candid thoughts on the current challenges facing the British entertainment industry, particularly for grassroots venues and emerging artists. One of the most compelling moments sees Carl open up about a terrifying personal experience that nearly caused him to walk away from music altogether, a reminder that even icons face moments of doubt, fear, and vulnerability. The interview also connects closely to Carl’s autobiography, Oh Yes, Oh Yes!, which charts his journey from a south London scaffolder to one of the most respected and influential figures in global dance music,  a story rooted in passion, perseverance, and belief in the culture. This episode is part of Early Doors Club’s wider mission to document, preserve, and celebrate the people and stories that built club culture, while reflecting on how that culture continues to evolve today. Episode highlights: Carl Cox on 30+ years behind the decksHow DJ craft and technology have evolved over decadesThe rise of acid house from Chicago to UK ravesThe importance of unregulated party culture in shaping British nightlifeConcerns for the future of the UK entertainment and club industryThe moment Carl nearly walked away from his careerWhy he’s still DJ’ing, still learning, and still passionateCredits: Interview originally broadcast on Channel 4 News Interviewer: Krishnan Guru-Murthy All rights belong to their respective owners. 8. Welcome to the Early Doors Club Podcast

    EPISODE 1

Welcome to the Early Doors Club Podcast

Welcome to the Early Doors Club Podcast. It’s finally here!  A space that brings together our event news, resident DJ mixes, interviews, and moments of history that tap into nostalgia while reflecting on how club culture, music, and communities are always evolving. Early Doors Club explores the music, people, and cultural movements that shaped generations of ravers and clubbers and continues to influence dance floors today. Some episodes will make you smile, some might make you think, but all of them are rooted in a genuine love of the music and the people around it. Over the last three years, we’ve built a growing community of like-minded people online through Instagram and Facebook, but most importantly in real life at our early evening events in Newcastle upon Tyne. This podcast is an extension of that community. At its heart, Early Doors Club is about creating safe, inclusive spaces that put the music first. No hype. No superstar DJs.  Just honest conversations, proper musical journeys, and shared memories. If you’re new to EDC, here’s a quick low-down. Our events are built around five and a half hours of uninterrupted house through to techno, start to finish. Played by resident DJs with over thirty years of experience; DJs who know the room, trust their instincts, and aren’t boxed in by genres or trends. Expect big, banging, emotional records… house, progressive, techno, disco, breaks, and leftfield curves, all stitched together with care and intent. One of our favourite moments is seeing new faces walk through the doors and completely get it within the first hour. That point where people relax, smile, and realise they’re in a room where the music genuinely matters and the crowd does too. Our events run bi-monthly on Saturdays from 5pm to 10:30pm. You get the full club experience without losing your Sunday. And then there’s the community itself. Safe. Friendly. Open. Knowledgeable. Music-lovers who come to listen, dance, connect, and let go and who trust us to take them on a journey. If you still love house and techno but feel priced out, disconnected, or bored of the usual club format, this is us saying: there is another way. Something new but strangely familiar. We have 6 events in 2026 and our third birthday, taking us officially into our fourth year of Early Doors Club. People can’t make every event, we understand that, but ticket sales keep growing, and the family keeps expanding. Once you try it, we say, you’re in forever. Anyway… back to the podcast. If you enjoy what you hear, please remember to hit subscribe, it really helps more like-minded people find us. You can also follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, where we share mixes, clips, archive footage, and community moments. And if this resonates with you, please pass it on. Remember: Music is our shared DNA. Thanks for being here, we hope you enjoy the journey.
