    Season 3, Episode 128

Épisode 92 - Bénédicte : Son sevrage, tout en douceur

Welcome back à Béné dans milkshaker.

Why Mothers Feel Like They’re Drowning (Even Doing Everything Right) with Dr. Sara Bloom

In this episode with Dr. Sara Bloom, we unpack the hidden emotional and physical toll of modern motherhood — and why so many women feel exhausted, disconnected, and constantly behind despite doing everything “right.” We explore how today’s wellness culture often asks mothers to optimize more, perform more, and carry more, when what they truly need is restoration, nervous system support, and permission to slow down. We also dive into what led Sara to create Mavie, a maternal wellness app intentionally built without streaks, scores, or pressure to “do wellness perfectly.” Designed to meet mothers where they are, Mavie focuses on realistic support through simple practices, accessible tools, and meaningful community.  Whether you’re a new mom, navigating identity shifts, or feeling overwhelmed by the always-on pace of modern life, this episode is a reminds me to the days I jumped er that wellness should support you, not become another responsibility to manage. 237. End of School Year Sleep Regressions: Why Big Kids Fight Bedtime in the Spring

Is your elementary-age child suddenly resisting bedtime, taking longer to fall asleep, waking at night, or starting the day too early? You may be dealing with a very real and very common pattern: the end of school year sleep regression. In this episode of How Long 'Til Bedtime?, Allison explains why sleep often starts to unravel in the final stretch of the school year. While longer daylight hours can play a role, the bigger driver is often simple exhaustion. Kids are tired of routines. Parents are tired of enforcing them. Bedtime drifts later, structure loosens, and sleep quality begins to slip. The good news is that a few small adjustments can help get sleep back on track and make the final weeks of the school year smoother for everyone. Allison shares practical strategies parents can use right away, including how to reset bedtime routines, protect the hour before bed, handle the "but it's still light outside" argument, and stay consistent even during busy spring schedules. If your household feels a little more tired, cranky, or chaotic than usual right now, you are not alone. This episode will help you understand what is happening and how to finish the school year strong. Listen in to learn: Why sleep problems often show up at the end of the school year How longer days and routine fatigue affect bedtime and sleep quality What to do when a child suddenly starts resisting bedtime How to reset routines after bedtime has drifted later Why protecting the hour before bed is especially important in the spring How to handle late activities without derailing the whole schedule Why consistency on weekends matters more than parents think Resources mentioned in this episode: Episode 235. Sibling Fights: When to Step In (and When to Stay Out)

Sibling fights making you crazy?  If you've ever wondered when to intervene in sibling fights versus when to let your kids work it out themselves, this episode gives you a practical framework you can use today. Sibling fights are one of the most common pain points of parenting, and we’ve all been there. In this episode, developmental psychologist and Raising Good Humans host Dr. Aliza Pressman explains how to tell the difference between normal sibling conflict and situations that require real intervention, why fairness doesn't mean giving every kid the exact same thing, and how the language parents use in the heat of the moment can either fuel resentment or teach kids to fight well. What you’ll learn: The "witness, not judge" framework for staying neutral during sibling conflict How to use "sportscaster mode" to de-escalate fights without picking sides Why fair doesn't mean equal—and how to explain equity to your kids The hidden dangers of labeling kids ("the helper," "the difficult one") within the family How to handle twins, age gaps, and the "glass child" experience Simple family rituals that build long-term sibling closeness and repair skills 🔗 RESOURCES & LINKS: Follow Raising Good Humans: 📱 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/raisinggoodhumanspodcast/ 🎙️ Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/raising-good-humans/id1473072044 Subscribe on Substack for weekly articles and exclusive LIVE Q&As: 📧 https://dralizapressman.substack.com/ This episode is brought to you by: Fora: Turn your passion for travel planning into a real business.
