Dr Stella Immanuel, hydroxychloroquine and our BANNED videos

Dr. Stella Immanuel's now banned hydroxychloroquine video led me to publish a fact-check that was also banned! An objective look at Dr. Stella Immanuel's statements, hydroxychloroquine and COVID. Can we all get on the same page re: hydroxychloroquine? My video on Dr. Stella Immanuel has been banned. Dr. Stella Immanuel's press conference on hydroxychloroquine and COVID went viral but video was banned. I published a fact check of Dr. Stella immanuel’s statements but it was also taken downLet's address the hydroxychloroquine controversy and Dr. Immanuel's viewsmost of the coverage of Dr. Stella immanuel focused on her supernatural beliefs. But we should focus on the science. dr immanuel has also dismissed dissenting views, calling studies showing no benefit of hydroxychloroquine "fake science”different sources generate different views. the same is happening with hydroxychloroquinewe'll cover hydroxychloroquine alone vs in combinationI can ask if people who took hydroxychloroquine do better. But there are many uncertaintiesIn this study, COVID patients treated with hydroxychloroquine had lower mortality.but the group that received hydroxychloroquine might have been healthier to begin with. the patients hydroxychloroquine had fewer risk factors for heart disease. hydroxychloroquine patients were also more likely to be given steroids, which are effective against Covid-19.Combo: hydroxychloroquine + azithromycin + zincmost RCTs look at hydroxychloroquine alone or with azithromycin. So people have said, ok, hydroxychloroquine hasn’t been effective in the RCTs but maybe the triple combo worksso we know hydroxychloroquine alone or combined with azithromycin has shown mixed results in observational trials and RCTs do not support a benefit In the conditions testedFor the triple combo, the observational evidence is encouraging and RCTs are comingif anybody says “we know hydroxychloroquine doesn’t work, period. in any condition, any context, we just know it”. that’s not true. But it’s just as misleading to say that “hydroxychloroquine works” or to call it a “cure”David Katz video: hydroxychloroquine has side effects. someone at high risk for COVID might justify the risks of hydroxychloroquine (in triple combo)Connect with me:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DrGilCarvalho/Twitter: https://twitter.com/NutritionMadeS3Animations: Even Topland @toplandmediaReferences:https://www.ijidonline.com/article/S1201-9712(20)30534-8/fulltexthttps://www.cnn.com/2020/07/31/health/hydroxychloroquine-study-henry-ford-letters/index.htmlhttps://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2019014https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.05.02.20080036v1https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-8309337/Zinc-hydroxychloroquine-effective-COVID-19-patients-study.htmlhttps://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.05.02.20080036v1https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xqCg12rOPMDisclaimer: The contents of this video are for informational purposes only and are not intended to be medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, nor to replace medical care. GE diagnosed her with irritable bowel or IBS and gave her a list of foods to avoid (low FODMAP diet)all the experts talk about reintroduction. About how elimination diets are temporary. she probably had dysbiosis, an imbalance of the microbes in her gut dietary changes affect the composition of the microbes in our gut very quickly, within days and it’s possible to reintroduce fiber-rich foods without triggering IBS symptoms fiber feeds the bugs in our gut, and they return the favor by producing short-chain fatty acids, which are very beneficial for our intestinal epithelial cellsby slowly putting those fiber-rich foods back, SCFAs should help heal her intestineDisclaimer: The Information in this video is for informational purposes only and is not intended to be medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, nor to replace medical care. Keto vs Vegan Health Benefits | A Scientist's View

Keto vs Vegan: Health Benefits. A recent study compared Keto and Vegan diets and looked at health benefits and weight loss. Let's discuss the health impact of Keto and Vegan and what the new study tells us about nutrition and health. Ofc you can.point is it’s not the carbs that make you fat. the subjects eating vegan were going to town on carbs and yet they lost fat fasterYou CAN lose fat by cutting carbs. you can lose fat by cutting any food, any source of calories. Carbs, fat, even proteinI have nothing personal against keto or veganpeople on the vegan diet were satiated faster and ate less calories, in all likelihood that’s why they lost fat"I gotta lose some weight, I should cut carbs, right?"When’s the last time you heard that?focus less on nutrients, the carbs and the fat and the protein. It’s about food quality Refined carbs make it easier to gain weightComplex carbs make it easier to maintain or lose weightSo if by “cut carbs” u mean cut candy, great movebecause it’s an artificial product not bc it’s “carbs”Otherwise next question is “oatmeal has a lot of carbs, I should cut that too”And we all get confused into general carbophobiamore health benefitsthe vegan diet lowered cholesterol but it raised triglycerides. LC diets like keto tend to do the opposite if they’re animal basedSo again the key is the type of food not if its high fat or low fat. Both can be healthydiet wars on social media, keto vs vegan, are a distractionVegans and low carbers have been fighting for yearshealth-wise: a vegan diet can be great or it can be terrible.Same for keto. it can be healthy, lots of greens, high in fiber, or it can be unhealthy, with processed meats, low fiber and high saturated fatSo the whole vegan vs keto war is social media smokeSo to ask which is better, vegan or keto, it’s nonsensicalhaving an abundance and variety of unprocessed plants, that’s the golden rule. A healthy diet can be vegan or not, low carb or not, keto or not, it can be low fat, high fat, medium fat, many possibilities, pick the one that works for you and ignore the social media noiseDisclaimer: The contents of this video are for informational purposes only and are not intended to be medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, nor to replace medical care. Intermittent Fasting Health Benefits | Real or Hype?

Intermittent Fasting: are the health benefits real? Have the benefits of Intermittent Fasting been hyped up beyond the current science? Let's take an objective look at the research behind the health benefits of Intermittent Fasting.Subscribe for more free nutrition and health tips: https://bit.ly/2toMJ9uConnect with me:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DrGilCarvalho/Twitter: https://twitter.com/NutritionMadeS3Intermittent fasting: are the benefits real or marketing hype?According to headlines, intermittent fasting helps you burn fat and improve blood pressure, gut health, even brain function. Only one problem: it’s a study in miceSo what do we know about the human health benefits of intermittent fasting? It can help with weight loss. After fasting, most people eat more than normal, but not enough to compensate for the fasting period, so overall there’s a calorie deficitOk so is intermittent fasting better than any other method of calorie reduction? In most studies, it’s equally effective for weight loss and the usual benefits that come with it, like better glucose levels and blood lipidsSo for people looking to lose some extra fat, intermittent fasting may be a viable option. Intermittent fasting says nothing about quality, which is our #1 issue.Intermittent fasting is similar to many diets in the sense that there’s nothing inherently wrong with it as long as we don’t lose track of the main issue.Fasting is effective for weight loss. We could keep fasting on and off to keep the weight off but long-term benefits are less clear. We may feel less guilty binging after fasting.Ok what about other benefits beyond weight loss? if I’m already at a healthy weight, does intermittent fasting help me at all?Conference on intermittent fasting: Intermittent fasting causes weight loss, lower blood pressure, lower glucose, etc.But are the benefits due to fasting specifically? Will someone on a healthy diet still see a benefit of intermittent fasting?Majority of intermittent fasting studies look at overweight subjects with metabolic issues. Doesn’t tell us much about health benefits of intermittent fasting in healthy people.I don't rule out additional health benefits of intermittent fasting beyond just calories and body fat. But overall, studies show similar benefits for intermittent fasting and calorie control. To me this suggests nothing magical about fastingReferences:https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0303720715300800https://linkinghub.elsevier.com/retrieve/pii/S0939-4753(18)30100-5https://journals.lww.com/jbisrir/fulltext/2018/02000/Intermittent_fasting_interventions_for_treatment.16.aspxhttps://www.mdpi.com/2072-6643/8/6/354https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4122067/https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29778565/https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC156352/https://www.nejm.org/doi/10.1056/NEJMra1905136Stock footage: https://www.pexels.com/@fauxels?utm_content=attributionCopyText&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=pexelshttps://www.pexels.com/@alexy-almond?utm_content=attributionCopyText&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=pexelshttps://www.pexels.com/@gifing-com-2063260?utm_content=attributionCopyText&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=pexelsDisclaimer: The contents of this video are for informational purposes only and are not intended to be medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, nor to replace medical care.
