Er hat alles für die Frauen getan, hat immer gegeben, aber nicht genommen, und oft wurden seine Bedürfnisse dabei nicht erfüllt. Die Frage steht nun im Raum, weshalb er das immer mit sich machen lässt? Paul selbst sagt, dass er sehr gerne viel gibt und es nicht so sehr braucht, in der Beziehung etwas zurückzubekommen. Zudem attestiert er sich ein gesundes Selbstwertgefühl und sagt, dass er so, wie er ist, mit sich zufrieden ist. Dass er nun hier unglücklich auf dem Therapiesessel sitzt, zeigt aber, dass irgendetwas an seiner Wahrnehmung wohl nicht so ganz der Wahrheit entsprechen kann. Als Steffi tiefer gräbt, werden Paul einige sehr wichtige Fakten bewusst, die seinem Selbstbild deutlich widersprechen. Seine Unterwürfigkeit entspricht nämlich keineswegs einem starken und selbstlosen Selbstbewusstsein, sondern einer tiefen Verlustangst, die er so versucht zu kompensieren und dabei nicht merkt, dass sie das Gegenteil bewirkt. Steffi zeigt ihm, woran er arbeiten muss, um in Zukunft die Richtige zu finden und eine gesunde, ausgeglichene Beziehung führen zu können. +++
