In this episode, I share why Aware Parenting has become one of the most life-enriching foundations of my mothering and my human journey. Rooted in the work of developmental psychologist Aletha Solter PhD, Aware Parenting invites us to see children as innately wise, loving beings who communicate their inner world through behavior — and whose tears, laughter, and expression are powerful ways for them to heal from stress and trauma as they grow. I talk about how this approach beautifully aligns with my background in body-oriented psychotherapy, trauma healing, Nonviolent Communication, and presence-based coaching. I also share how Aware Parenting has helped me understand everyday moments — aggression, sleep struggles, food, boundaries — as invitations for connection rather than problems to fix. And equally, how it keeps inviting me back to my own inner healing, honesty, and authenticity as a mother. This episode is an invitation to remember that when we meet children with trust and loving presence, they return to their natural state of connection, cooperation, and compassion.
