“网红”的英文怎么说？

来看维基百科对“网红”的定义：
“
An internet celebrity,blogebrity,cyberstar,or online celebrity is someone who has become famous by means of the Internet. Internet allows people to reach a narrow audience across the world and so become famous within one or more Internet communities.
上面提及的：

internet celebrity [səˈlebrəti]、blogebrity、cyberstar、online celebrity

都可以用来表示网红

另外国外媒体还会用：

web celebrity 或 web sensation来表达“网红”

例：
She is not only a net celebrity, but also a representative of Chinese culture.
她不只是一个网红，更是中国文化的缩影。
Her first video went viral and she's been an Internet celebrity ever since then.
她的第一个视频在网路上爆红，从那之后，她就成为了一名网红。


第二个例句中出现了一个短语：

go viral 在网路上爆红
“
viral 这个单字本身是指“病毒”，所以 go viral 是形容“像病毒一样蔓延开来”，用来表示“某人、某篇文或某支影片，在社交媒体或网路平台上被人大量分享、点阅而造成轰动”。
还有另外一个单词influencer [ˈɪn.flu.ən.sər]

意思是：有影响力的人

什么是网红？

不正是可以影响别人的人嘛~

在社交网络里

这个单词也经常用来形容“网红”

例：
She is a popular influencer.

“红人，宠儿”的英文表达

可以说：

blue-eyed boy

（千万不要以为是“蓝眼睛的男孩”）

blue-eyed boy来源于英式英语

意为“受宠的人”，“红人”（多用于贬义）

当然了

你也可以用“blue-eyed boy on the internet”表示网红！

例：
He's become the boss's blue-eyed boy.
他成为了老板跟前的红人。
She was the media's blue-eyed boy.
她是媒体的宠儿。

“过气网红”的英文表达

翻译“过气”这样口语化的词汇

可以“解释性翻译”

比如你可以说成：

a web celebrity who's not popluar any more

但这样的翻译，虽然意思传达了，却总感觉少了那么点“意思”

在英语表达中

有一个现成的说法可以和“过气”对应

那就是：has-been

一个简单的“现在完成时”就表达了“过气”

《柯林斯词典》里是这样定义的：
“
If you describe someone as a has-been, you are indicating in an unkind way that they were important or respected in the past, but they are not now.
如果你把某人称为是has-been，那么你就是在不客气地暗示那人曾经受人重视和尊重，而如今却不是了。
所以，我们可以看到这样的新闻标题：

例：
He is dismissed as a has-been in his profession.

“apples and oranges”是什么意思？

这个短语可以用于形容完全不同类别

没有可比性的两个事物

即：“风马牛不相及的事物”

常用搭配：compare apples and oranges

mix apples and oranges

sth is apples and oranges


例：

You can't compare those two companies, they're apples and oranges.

你不能去比较那两家公司，他们根本没有可比性。

“go bananas”可不是 “走吧香蕉”！

go bananas = 发怒；发疯；极度兴奋激动


有一种说法，猩猩看香蕉的时候

极度兴奋，陷入癫狂

所以go bananas和go ape意思相似

（ape 猿；类人猿）

表示发疯、情绪失控

例：

sour 酸的

grape 葡萄

sour grapes跟中文里的”吃不到葡萄就说葡萄酸“

指：酸葡萄心理（指由于得不到而贬低某物）


例：

我不认为这是一份好工作，我可不是因为吃不着葡萄说葡萄酸。

如果你想说“手机在震”可不能用shake

shake是指幅度比较大的晃动

比如：shake your head 摇头

而不能用于手机这种轻微的震动

手机调 "震动模式"

可以说

I had / left my phone on vibration.

我手机调成了震动模式。

或者

可以直接用“ring”就好了！

有时由于开会、上课或其它原因

我们的手机需要调成“静音模式”

可以用：

put the phone on mute/ set the phone to mute

例句：
It's polite to set your phone to mute when you are on a meeting.
当你在开会的时候，把手机调静音是比较礼貌的行为。
You should put your phone on mute when you are in your class.
当你在上课的时候，应该把手机调静音。
或者直接把mute用作动词：

smashed一般是指玻璃类的物品碎了

比如手机屏幕和花瓶等等都可以用这一个词

例：
My phone screen is smashed.
我的手机屏幕碎了。

若让人们为各种食物打分

方便面的分数想必一定不会低

谁让它就是这么方便呢

单身、旅游、加班、宅家……

图片哪里少得了它

但是！方便面再方便！

也不能把它说成convenient noodles！
