Cold Cases: Case 12: Borley Rectory Part 2

Danny and the team return to Borley Rectory, where legendary ghost hunter Harry Price is also about to reopen his case files, bringing 48 researchers to investigate the increasingly violent phenomena that seem to torment everyone who spends time in the house. Kitchen implements fly through the air, rocks are thrown at the new tenants - and one of them receives horrible injuries to her face which leave her with cuts and a black eye. Borley seems to be earning its reputation as the most haunted house in England. But is Harry Price really a sceptic trying to debunk hoaxes and fakery, or a chancer looking to make a fortune? By spring of 1945, Hitler was surrounded on every front, but one project inside a secret mine kept running until the end. It was called Die Glocke, The Bell, built on mercury, fire, and a design borrowed from a thousand-year-old Indian text. The scientists who built it vanished, along with the man who ran the entire project. Decades later, the same technology resurfaced in a US Navy patent, and nobody could explain how it got there. This is the story of a warning written a thousand years before World War II, the men who ignored it, and the strange thread connecting an ancient king to modern spaceflight. Rich Husband Killed Her For Dowry - Lucknow Madhu Singh Case

#SRPAY #truecrime #india #documentary On 5th August 2025, Madhu was found dead in her flat at Gomtinagar Extension. While Anurag claimed it was a suicide, Madhu’s family strongly alleged it was a case of dowry harassment and planned murder. Madhu belonged to a middle-class family and was known for her simplicity, kindness, and close bond with her loved ones. Her marriage in February 2025 was seen as a perfect match, but soon after, allegations of dowry demands, financial pressure, mental and physical harassment, and forced abortion began surfacing. Reports reveal that Anurag and his family allegedly demanded ₹15 lakh as dowry, of which Madhu’s family could only manage ₹5 lakh. WhatsApp messages, calls, and witness statements highlighted the abuse she was facing, including controlling behavior, restrictions, and force to consume alcohol. Tragically, on 5th August, Madhu was discovered hanging in her bedroom. Her family immediately rejected the suicide theory, pointing out that she was mentally strong, always in touch with them, and had even shared her fears about her husband. An FIR was filed under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, including charges of cruelty, forced miscarriage, and dowry death. On 7th August 2025, Anurag Singh was arrested by Lucknow Police, and the case quickly became a high-profile dowry death investigation that shook the nation. tags: madhu singh case, lucknow dowry case, merchant navy officer dowry death, madhu singh murder case, anurag singh arrest, gomtinagar extension case, 2025 dowry death case, indian dowry cases, true crime india, sr pay madhu singh, dowry harassment in india, indian true crime documentary, madhu singh lucknow death, indian dowry death stories, indian crime cases 2025 Hosted on Acast. 1 day ago

    Balochistan's disappeared

When Dr. Mahrang Baloch was a teenager, she joined hundreds of families across Pakistan's southwestern province of Balochistan to search for her father, who had disappeared. Activists and rights groups say thousands of ethnic Baloch people have disappeared over the past two decades, alleging many were detained by security forces, tortured and killed as part of operations against a long-running separatist movement. After three years of being missing, Mahrang's family received a call telling them that her father's body had been found. This led Mahrang herself becoming a campaigner, leading protests and marches demanding information about missing persons in Balochistan. But last year she was arrested and she has now been sentenced to life in prison. Farhat Javed of BBC Urdu tells her story.  As the group stage of the World Cup comes to a close, Cape Verde, a tiny nation off the coast of West Africa, is celebrating a remarkable achievement. It's their first ever time at the tournament, but the Blue Sharks, as their team is known, have made it out of the group stage with a series of strong performances where they have held big teams like Spain and Uruguay to account. Meanwhile, in South Korea, a much more seasoned squad packed with international talent have arrived home in defeat after losing to teams their critics feel they should have beaten. The fallout has been painful. Paul Njie, journalist with BBC West Africa and Jake Kwon, Seoul Correspondent for BBC News, reflect. The Fifth Floor is at the heart of global storytelling on the BBC World Service, bringing you the best stories from journalists in the BBC's 43 language services. We're here to help you make sense of the stories making headlines around the world; to excite your curiosity and to get to grips with the facts. Recent episodes have investigated Russia’s youth armies and how they make soldiers of Ukrainian children; featured the BBC team who were the first journalists to the site of the Nigerian school kidnappings and reflected the effects of internet blackouts in Iran, Uganda and India. If you want to know more about Venezuela’s acting president, Delcy Rodriguez, and the legacy of Hugo Chavez; or how Vladimir Putin’s network of deep cover spies operates; or why Donald Trump signed an executive order granting white South Africans asylum in the US, we have all those stories and more. This episode of The Documentary comes to you from The Fifth Floor, the show at the heart of global storytelling, with BBC journalists from all around the world. Presented by Irena Taranyuk. • Jay Shetty & Emma Watson: Authenticity, Fame, and Redefining Success | On Purpose Podcast

    28/09/2025

Jay Shetty & Emma Watson: Authenticity, Fame, and Redefining Success | On Purpose Podcast

Jay Shetty BioSnap a weekly updated Biography. In the past few days Jay Shetty has remained a central figure in global media and self-development circles thanks to his high-profile interview with Emma Watson on his podcast On Purpose on September 23. This two-and-a-half-hour episode became an immediate headline, with outlets like EmmaWatson-Updates and iHeartRadio spotlighting its candid discussion about authenticity, personal happiness, and navigating the pressures of fame. Watson chose Shetty’s show for her first long-form interview in years, citing his book and reputation for fostering “different conversations” as her reason for stepping into the podcast format. Their exchange drew attention for Watson’s open comments on mental health, maintaining honesty under public scrutiny, and the challenge of sustaining genuine friendships in the entertainment world. Shetty’s sensitive hosting style was praised across social media, with #JayShetty trending midweek as listeners shared their reflections and favorite quotes. The episode triggered widespread discourse. According to BeyondHollywoodUpdates, Watson used the interview to publicly clarify her strained relationship with author J.K. Rowling—fueling renewed speculation and headlines after Rowling herself posted a parody of Watson’s remarks, which MedimixAyurveda reports led to yet another round of viral online debate. Shetty’s skill as a moderator was noted by fan blogs for facilitating the kind of safe, honest dialogue rarely permitted in conventional press circuits. Business-wise, Shetty’s coaching platform Genius, eight years on, is entering a new chapter. An official announcement on Genius.com reveals that starting January 2026, memberships will include direct access to monthly live Q&A sessions with Jay, as well as expanded archives of workshops and meditations under the banner Genius 2.0. This evolution aligns with Shetty’s stated aim to deepen community engagement and offer more unfiltered, real-time advice—reflecting the core values repeatedly championed on his podcast. Social media analytics from Spreaker confirm Shetty’s continued global influence: as of late September, he’s ranked among the top 2,000 Instagram personalities worldwide, amassing over 17 million followers. His personal channels have seen a surge in engagement, especially from younger listeners interested in mindset, resilience, and redefining success beyond fame. No confirmed public appearances outside digital media have been reported for Shetty in the last few days. There are unsubstantiated rumors of a future book deal, but these remain speculative and have not been acknowledged by any major publisher or by Shetty himself. For now, his reputation as the world’s leading mental health podcast host, per iHeartRadio, seems secure, and his recent dialogue with Watson stands out as a defining media moment that could shape the industry’s approach to celebrity interviews and personal storytelling for some time to come.
