Great podcast
I discovered Jim on YouTube and very much enjoyed his content, so enjoying the podcast is just a natural evolution
No way ill just sit here when I know that Hard Cash is coming back
I have listened to Jimquisition (specifically podquistion) since week 1, though Jim has been involved with Podcasts long before he went independent. Podquistion is a weekly show hosted by Jim with Laura Kate Dale and Gavin Dunne (Miracle of Sound). Special guests have been on the show but not for a while. The format is usually a ramble of whats going on in the host lives followed by discussing the games they have played and then the news. Early episodes featured listener questions at the end, unfortunately that hasnt been a thing for a while.Early shows they struggled to get everything in within 2 hours, more recently they usually hit an hour.
The show has really evolved since its inception 4 years ago. For those of you that follow Jim wont be surprised to hear vulger comedy was a big feature of podquistion, especially for the early shows. Whether it was a natural evolution or they decided to tone it down that doesnt really feature in the show anymore. The 3 hosts are extremely knowledgeable about video games and is thoroughly entertaining. Though I sincerely believe they are all good mates sometimes the group dynamic gets a little tense as they all struggle to get their voices heard, early shows struggled with this.
Also just as enetertaining is a spin off podcast on the same channel called the Spin Off Doctors (Movieboys). Every fortnight Jim and Conrad Zimmerman discuss a video game movie. The breakdown is firstly they discuss their experiences with the source material, then Conrad reads a synposis of the film with regular interjections from Jim then finally they discuss if they like the movie. I love the movieboys, they make even the most mundane, boring video game movie fun to talk about.
Excellent gaming podcast
An excellent podcast, although I can no longer show anyone my iPod wihtout them thinking I'm weird
