    Picture this—I’m sitting there late at night, just me and my thoughts, replaying a simple question I asked my wife: what actually makes a good husband? And the more I sit with it, the more I realize how much I used to get wrong. I used to think it was about fixing things, having answers, being in control—but it’s not. It’s about being present, really listening without interrupting, without trying to solve. It’s about owning my mistakes in real time, being open even when it’s uncomfortable, and learning how to just be there for her. Most of what I’ve learned didn’t come from books—it came from messing up, reflecting, and slowly changing the way I show up every day. And the deeper I go, the more I see that being a good husband isn’t about perfection—it’s about commitment and growth. It’s choosing to be a team, not two separate people keeping score. It’s creating a space where she feels safe, supported, and free to be herself, while I continue working on myself too. I’ve had to learn vulnerability, let go of ego, and embrace both strength and softness at the same time.
