But if you want to acquire a deep understanding of why it’s hard to make stuff everyday, this is a must. For each episode Merlin Mann opens a dozen or so parentheses, so you’ve gotta focus to keep up, but when the conclusion finally arrives, you will be left with a clear picture he and Dan wanted you to see.

Life's a mess, especially when you try to do anything more than keep afloat. Dan and Merlin talk about inherent messiness of creative process and life in general, and encourage the listeners to get better at whatever they do. The whole thing is carefully balanced with nonsense humor and plenty of geek trivia. Also, Merlin sings a rock-opera. Awesome.
