Elevated: Episode 28- Being You: Breaking Barriers & Embracing Self-Awareness

In this episode, Dawn and Jacquie Carter dive deep into the transformative power of self-awareness and what it truly means to be authentically you. Together, they explore how breaking down the walls and barriers we’ve built, (often unconsciously) through societal conditioning, can create more space, ease, and freedom in our lives. This conversation unpacks the five elements of intimacy: trust, honor, allowance, vulnerability, and gratitude, and how integrating these into your daily life can radically shift your relationships with yourself and others. They also explore a powerful mindset shift: choosing to energetically “get bigger” instead of shrinking in the face of judgment, fear, or limitation. You’ll learn practical tools to move out of judgment and into gratitude, cultivate emotional intelligence, and make more conscious, aligned choices. Whether you’re on a journey of personal development, healing, or simply seeking a more fulfilling life, this episode offers grounded insights and actionable steps to help you embrace self love, stay present, and live with curiosity and openness. If you’ve ever felt like you’re holding yourself back or not fully expressing who you are, this conversation is your invitation to step into your truth, and expand into the life that’s waiting for you. Elevated: Episode 26- Is Your Personality Just Your Birth Order?

Is the oldest child really destined to be responsible? Is the middle child actually overlooked? Are youngest children naturally rebellious? And what about only children — are they truly more independent… or more pressured? In this episode, we dive deep into birth order theory and explore the powerful question: Is your personality actually shaped by where you landed in your family? We break down the classic traits of firstborns, middle children, youngest children, and only children — but we go far beyond the stereotypes. You’ll learn how sibling position influences nervous system development, attachment patterns, coping strategies, and even your role in adulthood relationships. We explore: The psychology behind Oldest Child Syndrome Why middle children often become peacemakers (or disappear emotionally) The nervous system wiring of the “responsible” firstborn How youngest children develop charm, rebellion, or creativity as survival strategies The truth about Only Child Syndrome Birth order and its connection to perfectionism, people-pleasing, anxiety, and overfunctioning Whether birth order traits are science, family dynamics, or subconscious adaptation If you’ve ever wondered why you’re the “strong one,” the “invisible one,” the “wild one,” or the “independent one,” this episode will help you understand what’s conditioning… and what’s truly you. Because maybe your personality isn’t random. Maybe it was shaped in childhood long before you had words for it. And maybe — just maybe — you get to rewrite it. Elevated: Episode 21- Kindling the Light: Embracing Imbolc and the Cycles of Renewal

Episode 21: In this episode, Dawn shares personal updates and transitions into a discussion about Imbolc, a sacred festival that celebrates the return of light and the trust in the natural cycles of life. She explores the significance of Brigid, the rituals associated with Imbolc, and how these practices can be adapted to modern life. The conversation emphasizes the importance of patience and recognizing growth, even in challenging seasons. Dawn also reflects on her personal journey and the upcoming topics for future episodes. Elevated Soul Healing: https://www.elevatedsoulhealing.com Modern Imbolc Ritual for Today’s World (30–45 minutes) This ritual is designed for modern life — simple, flexible, and deeply meaningful. It can be done alone or with family, quietlyor ceremonially, indoors or outdoors. What You’ll Need (Use What You Have) 1 white or yellow candle (Tea light is perfect) A small bowl of water A small bowl of salt (or earth) Something symbolic of growth (a seed, crystal, piece of jewlary) Optional: Milk, tea or warm drink Step 1: Prepare the Space Begin by gently cleaning the space where you’ll sit. Thiscan be as simple as clearing a table, wiping a surface, or tidying one smallarea. As you do this, say (aloud or silently): “I clear what is heavy, stagnant, and no longer needed. Imake space for new light.” This mirrors the ancient Imbolc tradition of home cleansing— both practical and energetic. Step 2: Ground and Arrive Sit comfortably. Place the bowl of salt or earth in front ofyou. Place one hand over your heart and one on your belly. Take three slow breaths. Feel your body supported. Feel yourself here. This is the energy of Imbolc — gentle arrival, not urgency. Step 3: Light the Flame Light your candle. As you do, speak: “I welcome the returning light. I honor the spark of lifestirring within and around me.” Spend a moment simply watching the flame. This candle represents the growing sun, the hearth fire, andthe quiet hope of the season. Step 4: Blessing with Water and Salt Dip your fingers into the water and lightly touch yourforehead or hands. Say: “I cleanse what weighs me down.” Then touch the salt or earth. Say: “I ground myself in patience, trust, and steady growth.” This honors Imbolc’s themes of purification and preparation. Step 5: Calling in Brigid (Optional, inclusive) If it resonates with you, gently acknowledge Brigid —goddess or saint, symbol or archetype. Say: “Brigid of flame and well, of hearth and healing, be welcomehere. Inspire what is ready to be born.” If Brigid does not align with your path, simply call in wisdom, creativity, and inner fire. Step 6: Setting Gentle Intentions Hold your seed or symbolic object. Ask yourself: What is quietly forming in my life? What do I want to nurture-not force?Speak one intention aloud. Keep it simple.Examples: "I nurture my creativity""I welcome healing""I trust the timing of my life" Place the object near the candle Remember: Imbolc intentions are seeds, not goals. Step 7: Closing with Gratitude Lift your warm drink or place your hands over your heart. Say: “Thank you for the light returning, for what is stirring, and for what will grow in time.” Take a sip slowly. Step 8: Carrying Imbolc Forward When the ritual feels complete, extinguish the candlegently. Over the next few weeks: light a candle oftenclean one small space at a time check in with your intention be patient with yourselfImbolc teaches us that slow growth is still growth. May this ritual remind you that even in the quietestseasons, life is awakening.
