Re-air Episode: Are You Worshiping the To-Do List?

This week we're replaying one of our most-loved episodes of The Encourager Podcast. Have you ever reached the end of the day, checked everything off your list, and still felt like you missed what mattered most? In this replay, I share a vulnerable story about a Monday when I accomplished everything on my to-do list but missed one of the most important moments of my week. That experience shifted my perspective from serving efficiency as a god to seeing it as a tool that should support, not replace, my values and mission. Whether you're listening for the first time or revisiting this conversation, I hope it encourages you to pause, reflect, and realign how you approach productivity through the lens of intentionality, connection, and grace. In This Episode: • Why "Efficiency is king, but it's a terrible god" changed how I think about my time • The bedtime moment I missed and what it taught me about priorities • How efficiency can quietly become an idol in our homes and schedules • What it looks like to choose presence over productivity in your five systems: Me, Food, Home, Work, and Family • Three questions to help you reclaim connection and peace Free Resource: Download the Mini Journal: Efficiency vs. Intentionality and reflect on where you can shift from hustle to holy. Re-air Episode: The Greatest Gift You Can Give Your Family (and It’s Free)

In this heartwarming re-air episode, Bekah shares a simple truth that can transform the way we love the people closest to us: love is spelled T-I-M-E. It's not the gifts, perfectly planned vacations, or grand gestures that leave the biggest impact. It's the everyday moments of being fully present. Through stories from her own family, Bekah shares practical ways to create meaningful connection, from lingering around the dinner table and taking evening walks to bedtime devotionals, board games, and putting the phone down to be fully engaged. She also reflects on a conversation from her church's young adult group that served as a powerful reminder: no matter our age, we all long for time and connection with the people we love. Scripture: 1 Corinthians 16:14 — "Let all that you do be done in love." Reflection Questions: When do I feel most connected to my family? How can I intentionally create more time together this week? What distractions, like my phone or my to-do list, can I set aside to be more present? How can I build more shared moments into my family's routine through meals, walks, conversations, or games? What does love look like in my home when it's spelled T-I-M-E?Mentioned in This Episode: SET Board Game — Click here! The moments that shape our families are often the simplest ones. When we slow down, linger a little longer, listen more closely, and choose presence over distraction, we're giving our loved ones one of the greatest gifts we can offer: our time. Love the Episode? Re-Air Episode: Strategy vs. Striving

One of our most-played episodes is back! Have you ever caught yourself working really hard but not actually getting anywhere? You’re checking the boxes, pushing through, but deep down—you’re tired. In this week’s episode, Rebekah breaks down the key difference between striving and strategy—and why one leaves you empty while the other keeps you aligned. Through stories from her business and her faith journey, she explains how strategy invites wisdom, rest, and clarity into your work, while striving runs on emotion, fear, and exhaustion. You’ll hear: The real reason ambition can lead to burnoutWhat God says about plans and purpose (Proverbs 16:3 + Psalm 46:10)3 steps to shift from striving to strategyHow to build systems that serve your goals instead of draining youBottom line: Striving drains you. Strategy sustains you. 🪄 3 Practical Steps: Pause before you push.  Take a two-minute breather before jumping into a new project. Ask, “Is this something God called me to—or something I’m forcing?”Plan before you perform.  Use your five systems—Me, Food, Family, Home, Work—to see how a new idea fits before acting on it.Pray before you panic.  When chaos rises, say: “Lord, I don’t know what to do, but my eyes are on You.”📖 Scripture References: Proverbs 16:3: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.”Psalm 46:10: “Be still and know that I am God.”🎧 Listen now on Apple Podcasts & Spotify   💗 Join the Encourager Community: encouragerpodcast.com 📝 Explore the 5 Systems & Courses: encourageracademy.com 🛍️ Shop Rebekah Scott Designs: shoprsd.com 🛒 Browse Rebekah’s Favorite Tools: Amazon Shop ⭐ Leave a Review: It helps more women find the show! 📱 Connect on Instagram: @encouragerpodcast 🙌 Share this episode: Tag us and tell us how you’re finishing well this year!  Love the Episode? Mid-Year Permission Slip: Three Things You Can Stop Carrying Into July

Do you feel behind on the goals you set in January? You're not alone. For many women, the halfway point of the year becomes a scoreboard. We start measuring what didn't happen, what we haven't accomplished, and where we still fall short. But what if June isn't a report card? What if it's a permission slip? In this episode, Rebekah shares three permissions to help you move into the second half of the year with less pressure and more peace. You'll learn: • Why it's important to celebrate what's already working • How to release expectations that no longer serve you • Why growth happens through one faithful next step—not a complete overhaul Questions to Ask Yourself: • What's healthier than it was six months ago? • What keeps draining me? • What expectation am I carrying that God never gave me? • What's the next right thing God is asking me to do? The Habits I’m Finally Letting Go Of

We talk a lot about habits to build… Morning routines. Better systems. Healthy rhythms. More discipline. But what if your next breakthrough comes from what you STOP instead? In this episode, I’m sharing 8 habits I’m personally working to break in this season — not because they’re dramatic or “bad,” but because they were quietly costing me peace, clarity, energy, and focus. We’re talking about: • negative self-talk • mindless social media scrolling • checking email too late • constantly “treating” ourselves • over-processing conversations • relying only on devotional books • gossip disguised as concern • picking up after everyone else This episode is honest, practical, reflective, and full of permission to let go of what no longer serves you. Ask Yourself: • What habit am I excusing because it feels “small”? • Where am I unintentionally draining my peace? • What would feel lighter if I stopped doing it? • What habit am I ready to break in this season? Mentioned In This Episode: • 2 Corinthians 10:5 • Bible Recap • Encourager Amazon Favorites I’d love to connect with you outside the podcast too. You Don’t Have to Chase Joy

What if joy isn’t something you have to chase? In this deeply personal episode, I’m sharing a live talk I recently gave at a women’s conference about the difference between joy and happiness. From walking through family heartbreak and grief to learning how to abide with Jesus in hard seasons, this episode explores what Scripture actually says about joy — and why joy can exist even before circumstances change. Together, we walk through powerful passages including John 15, Galatians 5, Acts 16, and Habakkuk 3 while asking honest reflection questions like: • What’s stealing your joy? • Where are you chasing happiness instead of abiding with Jesus? • What would it look like to choose joy before your situation changes? If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or spiritually disconnected, this episode will remind you that joy is not something you have to manufacture. It’s already available through abiding with Jesus. In this episode: • The difference between happiness and biblical joy • Why striving and chaos steal peace • The “green banana” analogy for spiritual growth • How Paul and Silas modeled joy in suffering • What Habakkuk teaches us about rejoicing in hardship • Reflection questions to help you reclaim joy • Practical ways to choose connection over productivity Reflection Questions from the Episode: What’s stealing your joy?How do you tend to chase happiness? How is God inviting you into joy?Finish this sentence: “Even if _______, I will choose joy by _______."Scriptures Mentioned:  John 15:11 Galatians 5:22 Acts 16:25 Habakkuk 3:17–18Links Mentioned:  Encourager Coaching: https://www.encouragerpodcast.com/new-coaching-sales-page-1 I’d love to connect with you outside the podcast too. The 10-Minute Summer Reset (When Everything Feels Like a Dumpster Fire)

If your summer feels messy, behind, or completely off track… you are not alone. In this episode, I’m sharing a simple but powerful truth: you don’t need to restart—you just need to reset. Because most of us don’t need a new plan… we need a faster way to come back when things fall apart. This 10-minute reset is designed for real life—your busy, chaotic, summer-life reality. It’s not about fixing everything. It’s about interrupting the overwhelm and moving forward with clarity. Inside this episode, I walk you through my exact reset process: Brain dump to clear mental clutterChoosing your top 1–3 prioritiesGrounding yourself in prayerUsing the 1% rule to move forwardKnowing when to pause instead of pushReevaluating your summer “one thing”Asking for help using simple clarity questionsThis is your permission slip to stop starting over… and start resetting. Key Takeaway: You don’t need a better plan—you need a faster way to come back when life pulls you off track. If you feel like you’re constantly resetting but never gaining traction, that’s exactly what we work through in coaching. Together, we build systems that actually hold up in your real life—even in the middle of summer. Ready for more clarity and less overwhelm?
