Food noise is HUNGER and the history of Weight Loss Meds

Food noise is HUNGER and the history of Weight Loss Meds

Paul and Becky start the podcast by talking about why the concept of "food noise" (a relatively recent concept) is being used as a weapon against people.

A similar is being done with the concept of insulin sensitivity.

Once they broke through that noise they tackled the idea that these meds are new (they aren't) and familiar tropes influencers are using to sell WLM's or discourage people from using them.

How hormones help, what you should expect and a little Q&A at the end that was enlightening

In this episode, Paul is joined by one of Eat To Perform's lead coaches, Crystal. The goal of this podcast was to talk about what you should expect when you get on hormones and why it won't ALL be positive from day one. (they also go over how weight loss works)

They also covered some of the negatives of weight loss medication, how to counter some of those issues and why or why not it might make sense for some people.

Flexible Dieting, how to deal with plateaus and when NOT to diet

Flexible Dieting, how to deal with plateaus and when NOT to diet

Alan is a former trainer and nutritionist who has worked with well-known clientele. He is likely better known for his research and his research review. Alan has written what I believe to be the bible of flexible dieting (basically what we do at Eat To Perform), and I have been a subscriber to his research review since 2008.

This is a great podcast that ultimately ended up being too short.

Re-evaluating goals for 2024, HRT and Weight Loss meds discussion

We covered a lot of ground in this hour, specifically on how to set goals and adjust them based on things OTHER than just weight loss (with a focus on fat loss). We also discussed how HRT and Weight Loss meds could fill a role for some and who should probably avoid it.

Timely and Easily Processable Information

I am about 7-8 weeks into ETP programming and seeing exactly the results discussed in the few episodes of this podcast that I have had the time to listen.

The information Paul gives regarding the urge to thin out before a big trip or weekend away is so solid. Exactly what I needed to hear before a few summer trips.

Sure, he talks a lot—but this is his podcast and you can hear his excitement and eagerness to share the knowledge he has gained from his own experiences.

Great gas, over-intrusive host…

I’ve listened to two podcasts by Paul, and in both of them, it took between 25 and 30 minutes before he would allow his amazing expert guests to speak! Get out of the way as a host! We are tuning in to hear the great guests you have, not to hear your extensive, rambling reflections about your own journey.A little personal anecdote is great. But the host talks way, way too much…

Dear God Please Stop Talking About Yourself

Great content if the host ever decides to stop with his endless rambling about every detail of every event happening in his life. Skip the first 15 minutes of every podcast and you might get to actual content
