EmblemCast - A Fire Emblem Podcast

(To be read in Mekkah-speak): So, Emblemcast, they’re pretty good, good base idea for a podcast. You also don’t get a lot of other Fire Emblem based podcasts and so it’s great that this one exists. They’ve grown better over time as well, but of course, growths don’t matter so that’s not important. One problem, they’ve got a weakness to taking about other games, and that eats up a lot of their time. It’d be nice if their quote-unquote “main”topic was a bit more fleshed out each episode, even if it was just them taking about WAIFUs. Overall, good podcast, would recommend, still not as good as [insert name of any pre-promote here]. 4/5.

So glad that this even exists and hearing a bunch of dudes talk about my favorite games is exactly the catharsis I need to escape the real world where getting screwed on RNG is the least of our worries. The host Devin, is probably the most casual of all the members, which I find refreshing. And hearing the more experienced players dunk on him constantly never gets old to me. I’m also glad that Darrin has become a more regular member of the podcast because he has great insight and more importantly can articulate his thoughts incredibly well. I hope these guys return to more regular episodes but they’re also around my age (27) so have real life obligations like work, school, etc. that no doubt make it very hard to get together to record regularly. These guys have done a great job and every new episode feels like I’m catching up with my friends who happen to be just as passionate about Fire Emblem as I am.

To start I took an extra star off because it is absolutely unredeemable that a show that has never updated regularly is offering a Patreon. You should have to prove a consistent project before asking for money. 6 months after a new fire emblem game came out they put out their first post. They put it out just before the 4th DLC was announced. Signs from the universe they aren’t the ones to talk Fire Emblem, but somebody should and these guys are the only ones lining up. Their show should be an hour long at most.
