Brett Sullivan directed the film, which features five principal cast members of the original Broadway production: Reeve Carney, André De Shields, Amber Gray, Eva Noblezada, and Patrick Page. Recorded at the Lyric Theatre, London, the remainder of the cast are performers in the West End production. Bleecker Street division Crosswalk launched a limited release for North American cinemas after the film premiered at the Tribeca Festival to rave reviews. What did we think of it? However, unlike nearly everything the filmmaker has made before, this is as much a comedy as it is a strange, sexual, and visually stunning horror film. It had its world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where it received rave reviews. The film had its world premiere in the Cannes Premiere section of the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where it received positive reviews for its overall design reminiscent of classic samurai films, detective narrative, and performances. Amazing resource for staying up on what’s going on in film, especially new releases and awards - but what I love most about this podcast is the hosts’ obvious pure love and enthusiasm for the movies. They’re all just genuine people, and there’s a refreshing lack of the smugness and bored/ironic in-jokiness that tends to plague certain other popular film podcasts. Highly recommended especially for those who love movies but don’t enjoy filmbro vibes, lol.
