    John's visions culminate in the picture of the new heavens and earth which the prophets pointed to. This is a return to the beginning of Genesis in the garden. John also is given exhortations and commands for the church now that the prophecy has been given.

    John sees the fulfillment of everything salvation history has been leading up to. The perfect eschatological city where God dwells with His people in perfect fellowship.

    John shows the pronouncement of Babylon's fall and the call of believers to come out from among her and not participate in her sins. The early church (both Jew and Gentile) were continually exhorted not to return to the types and shadows of the Judaic religion now that Christ has fulfilled the covenant.

    An angel gives John the interpretation of the judgment he has seen on the harlot. He sees a harlot riding a beast and that imagery in explained.

    John sees the culminating vision of the seven bowl judgments. These judgments are the culmination of what God promised in Deuteronomy 28 and Leviticus 26 to those who refused to keep His covenant. By rejecting the covenant fulfillment of Jesus, they have brought down the wrath of God.
