Overthinking Is Keeping You Stuck. Do This Instead

Stop overthinking and start taking action. If you spend more time planning, researching and strategising in your head than actually doing, this video is for you. Your ideas can't create results while they're stuck between your ears. In this episode, I explain why you need to "create ripples" by putting one action out into the world every single day, whether that's content, reaching out to a client, training, or a conversation with your manager. Good or bad, the feedback moves you forward. Over time, those ripples turn into waves. This is mental fitness in action: building the habit of doing things when you don't feel like it, and making life respond to you instead of waiting for the perfect moment. CHAPTERS 0:00 Running in the rain: the decision that builds a strong mind 1:19 Why living in your head keeps you stuck 1:53 You have to create ripples 2:55 One action a day: your plan starting now 3:25 Treat life like a game 4:01 How small ripples become waves Tell me in the comments: what's the ripple you're going to create today? Before You Chase Your Biggest Goal, Do This

0:00 Why most people are deluded about their goals 01:10 Getting you and your goals down on paper 03:07 What does your goal demand from you? 04:09 Score yourself out of 10 05:47 Get brutally honest with the numbers 06:11 What are your REAL scores? 08:11 See your truth 08:31 Summary 09:31 Your reality check Most people spend their time thinking about the goal they want to achieve, but rarely stop and honestly assess whether the person they are today is capable of achieving it. In this video, I’ll show you a simple goal-setting and self-assessment exercise I’ve used with people I coach for years. You’ll look at the goal you want, work out what that goal actually demands from you, then score yourself honestly against those demands. That might mean looking at your discipline, resilience, confidence, focus, consistency or ability to perform under pressure. The important bit is using evidence rather than ego. Look back over the last few weeks and ask yourself how disciplined you’ve actually been, how you responded to setbacks, how you performed when the pressure was on, and whether your current behaviour matches the ambitions you say you have. That gap between where you are now and the person your goal requires is where the real work begins. If you have a big goal you want to achieve, do this exercise properly. It might be uncomfortable, but it will show you exactly what you need to work on next.
