Such an amazing story and production. Talent exudes throughout, from script to characters to those who play them. I listened straight through and here in 2022 my only disappointment is I am left wanting more!

I would like to see the time machine this production crew used to travel into the future and then traveling back to write a near documentary. It is mind boggling this was done years before January 6th. Uncompagre

This is ridiculously fantastic drama. I can visualize the scenes while following the story. Transition from scenes, the dialogues….. totally awesome. Keep up the good work guys I am hooked

A procedural for how to overthrow the Government of the United States if you are the President of the United States. So. It’s arrogant entitled white men trying to assert their personal will over everyone and everything (as if we all don’t get enough of that at every other turn), but minus anything personable about any them to draw you in. Which is about as dried up and dusty as it sounds. There are a few women who get to talk about their husbands or fathers. There’s a couple excuses to throw out some gross racisms (truly, what are these writers thinking when they sit there typing those lines in? “Can’t wait for people to get to hear this!” as of our ears aren’t already full of it?). In a medium where you can tell stories about anyone, and present all kinds of fresh voices, it’s just really disappointing to find any of these same old stories and characters with such slick sound production at all. Fiction podcasts are where I come to get away from all that.

I generally don’t like fiction but this popped up as recommended for me, probably because I do enjoy other Lindsay Graham podcasts, so I gave it a chance and it hooked me immediately. Music, characters, plot, all of it. This was fantastically done.

Overall incredibly well produced, written, and acted. Quality of the show is like something from a big budget HBO or Netflix show. However; the antagonist of the story is a thinly veiled attempt at portraying Donald Trump and it’s quite obvious. Whether you hated him or loved him or like me was flabbergasted by some of his behavior and comments; IMO I don’t think Trump was an evil character actively trying to destroy America. Anyway without giving away spoilers there are actions that the main protagonist takes that would be overreaching and that’s a complete understatement. The events in the conclusion of this season are actions a tyrant would do and honestly what Trump critics believed he would do in real life so there’s some irony there. In conclusion, great, riveting political thriller that keeps you hooked but also has a real world bias and agenda IMO.

How can u tell? They hate the electoral college.. I’m surprised they didn’t name the president in the show “Ronald Rump”

Please give us a 2nd season now that it’s another election!!!

I’ve listened to 1865 and this, wondery and Lindsay Graham make incredible dramas please make more than 1 season of each.
