    Arrest Warrant for Kentucky Cheerleader, Laken Snelling, Newborn Found Dead in Closet: Court This Week

    Laken Snelling, a former University of Kentucky student athlete, 22, stands accused of killing her newborn in her off-campus room.  She has pleaded not guilty to a first-degree manslaughter charge after the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office determined the infant was born alive and died of “asphyxia by undetermined means”.  She previously told police she did not believe the baby was breathing.  Snelling has a pretrial hearing set for May 14, 2026, followed by a status hearing  June 12. If convicted of first-degree manslaughter, she faces 10 to 20 years in prison.   Laken Snelling is arrested after her infant is found dead in a trash bag inside the closet. Authorities allege Snelling gave birth in secret, wrapped her baby in a towel, placed him in a trash bag, and left him in her closet. According to an arrest report, Lexington police were called to a home on Park Avenue for an unresponsive infant on Wednesday.     “IT’S PARTY TIME” PERP RECORDS 7-HOUR TORTURE MURDER OF NURSE

    When Katherine “Kat” Torbick's co-workers can’t reach the registered nurse, they call police. Schaumburg police force entry into Katherine’s home, and find her lying on the couch, dead,with clear signs of trauma. In the garage, investigators find Katherine’s ex-boyfriend, KevinMotykie tying a noose. Motykie, 56, is unsteady and slurs his words while admitting he tooklorazepam and hydrocodone. As Motykie is placed in handcuffs, officers discover a recordingdevice in his pocket with a 7-hour tape between the hours of 2:00 and 9:00 a.m. that morning. The seven-hour audio recording captures Motykie interrogating Katherine about infidelity, hitting her, and sex assaulting her while she begs him to stop.  In the final four minutes of audio Motykie is heard strangling Katherine, repeatedly telling her to "think of somewhere happy."  Motykie has a history of domestic violence allegations in three prior orders of protection. Infact, Motykie attacks Katherine just weeks prior to her murder. Motykie allegedly chokesKatherine, tries to gauge her eyes out, and threatens her at knifepoint. Katherine manages toescape to a neighbor’s home and call 911. Investigators document her injuries, and in avideotaped statement, Katherine says she’s afraid Motykie will eventually kill her. Police issuea warrant for Motykie’s arrest, but are unable to locate him.     D4vd back in court today for a status hearing in his murder case, as a judge decides if there's enough evidence to move toward trial. D4vd's preliminary hearing originally set for May 26, now moved to June 29. The defense requested more time to review a "mountain of evidence," with prosecutors stating they have already turned over more than 10 terabytes of digital data, but there could be as much as 40 terabytes.  D4vd is charged with the first-degree murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.     Did Jeffrey Epstein leave a suicide note?  His brother, Mark, says no.  He doesn't believe the one page letter unsealed by a District Judge Kenneth Karas was written by Jeffrey.  Theres only  five sentences printed on a sheet of lined paper. It's been seven years since the accused sex trafficking suspect was found hanging in his cell.  A former cellmate says he found it in a book in their shared cell.  Nicholas Tartaglione has said he discovered the note during the approximate two week time period they shared a cell in July 2019. During that time, Epstein reportedly tried to hang himself. He initially claimed that Tartaglione had assaulted him.  Epstein later told staff that he had no memory of the incident.
