The writer, in my opinion is absolutely spot on Our faith is essential to our partnership with God and provides insight as to how we live harmoniously and productively with God and the world It should also open our eyes and call us to action when we see injustice and destruction by sinister actors Today those actors are clearly President Donald Trump and all who actively support his actions and those who remain comfortably mum and continue their passive support COR has proven over and over to be a force for good Yet on these critical actions and issues it appears indifferent and essentially silent Sure, a good share of the congregation votes red and prudence begs we acknowledge that and avoid rocking the boat.but if they are true believers in God, can’t they be brought to realize these actions and this path are destructive and anything but Christlike This church needs to remain true to its Christian ideals and not only acknowledge and speak out but formulate and implement actions against this evil

I deeply respect the Church of the Resurrection and everything they stand for. But to suggest that what’s going on right now is mere division, and not a deeply organized, racist and seditious part of this country trying to take away my vote in 2020 and to suppress my vote going forward, is it best disingenuous and it worst outright foolish. When Bonita Mussolini took over over my fathers home country of Italy, the pope welcomed him with open arms as the savior of the country. It isLovely to think that we can be better than that, I would suggest we cannot. January 6, 2021 changed everything. I will continue to be a virtual member of COR, And do my best to follow Pastor Adams teaching, but when it comes down to push and shove; if all Americans are not free to worship, it’s only a matter of time before I’m not.

Adam Hamilton has been the first pastor to truly bring me towards God. I used to go to church, honestly, as an obligation. Adam’s sermons were entirely responsible for bringing to a now deep, embodied faith. His humility, beyond genuine nature of speaking, the way he lives out his words in his own life but also takes ownership as himself as a sinner . . you truly leave his sermons feeling so uplifted, so inspired, and so moved to be Jesus’ people and love and help and support others; which is what this truly should be all about.
