    Table Reflections: Season 10 Finale

Welp, y’all! We’ve reached the end of another season of Truth’s Table! And what a journey it’s been! Christina and Ekemini are back at the table to reflect on Season 10 and our Underground Railroad 2.0 series. By the grace of God, we’re still here, still telling the truth, and still making our way toward freedom! This season, we’ve been exploring what it means to escape the land of bondage and chaos and journey toward Freedom Land. As we reflect on this season's conversations, revelations, challenges, and lessons, we have to ask ourselves: What have we learned along the way? What must we leave behind? What does freedom require of us? And how do we keep moving when the journey gets difficult? Christina and Ekemini look back on their favorite episodes, the conversations that challenged them, the themes that stayed with them, and the lessons they’re carrying forward. BlackGirlMagic Interview with Ten Smith

Episode Description: It’s been a minute since we’ve had a BlackGirlMagic Episode and we are so excited to introduce Ten who is an amazing vocalist and up and coming musical artist. Y’all know Christina and Ekemini are always doing new creative projects, so you’ll want to listen or watch this episode to learn more about their new project we did in collaboration with Ten, Common Hymnal, and SeauxChill (the producer of the Truth’s Table theme song).  Learn more about Ten: Ten found her voice as a kid on Chicago’s West Side, singing along to cartoon theme songs until a run that stopped her cousin in his tracks told her she had something special. From there she sang everywhere — block parties, school events, basketball games — before forming her first group with family and friends. Their independently recorded album sold over 2,000 copies in Chicago, entirely outside the system. A full basketball scholarship pulled her toward athletics, but a career-ending injury sent her all the way back to music — and she rebuilt from there, twice. In Atlanta, she founded Ettenet Music Group, spent seven years developing her craft under Writing Sessions of America (Kevin Shine), shared stages with Angie Stone, Bilal, Musiq Soulchild, and Raheem DeVaughn, and appeared on national TV via America’s Got Talent and The Voice. In Nashville, she became a certified audio engineer (SAE Institute) to take full creative control of her sound — writing, performing, producing, mixing, and mastering her own catalog. Her debut single, “Boss Lady TEN,” dropped August 2025. Support Truth’s Table:  Buy our book!
