The MxU Podcast

Really great content here, guys. I’m a worship leader and our sound engineer actually told me about you, and I love it. I have one little note that I hope you guys can help me out with. I listen to this while I’m driving in a noisy car, so with my volume at max, I can hear most things just right, but Spencer trails off and gets really quiet about 25% of the time. I don’t know what’s happening, maybe he’s looking away from his mic while he talks? Could someone turn up his gain and maybe add some compression in post (or add more compression if you already are)? You’re audio professionals, I’m sure you’ll sort it out! Really solid content, it’s helping me stay sharp and not get lazy in my leadership. I especially appreciate the emphasis you guys put on intentionality. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oh, PS: Have you considered having two separate podcasts? One that continues on the current track of addressing the entire worship/tech team as a whole and another one that specifically addresses production? That might be a good solution for the long-time listeners who are unhappy about the change in direction. If you have the bandwidth to produce a second show. 🤷‍♂️

While some may not agree, I like the content you have been producing lately. I am probably unique that I am a professional Sound engineer who backed off and became a physical therapist. And now service of volunteer at my local church and so I have been on both side sides of the table. From a ministry perspective, we must ask ourselves. What are we doing? Are we developing our team? Are we investing in the spiritual maturation of the team? And are we feeding the sheep? Or as Jesus would say feed my sheep As you touched on and pointed out, there are a zillion videos and learning opportunities available, but are we speaking and ministering to our body of fellow volunteer engineers. Who may not have the resource for the background than many of us have. They just want their services to sound halfway decent and they need some basic investment and their abilities as well as encouragement along the way For what it’s worth, I think this format should continue And it has value in the body of Christ

I really have enjoyed this podcast over the last several years. The information they share is always valuable, but also they encourage your Spiritual and emotional well being too. I have learned a lot from Jeff and the many hosts and guests.

Did I miss the episode where they said they changing to a worship podcast instead of tech? All the old hosts are gone. I’m all for leadership building but this was originally for tech and production. This should have been a new MxU worship podcast instead of hijacking this one. If anyone else feels the same the Churchgear podcast has been good and similar to old MxU.
