    #451 Polaris 38 Welterweight GP Preview

    This week on the show, Maine and Miranda preview the Polaris 38 Welterweight GP as well as the Women's Bantamweight title fight.  In the news section of the show, we discussed some upcoming matches, including Vagner Rocha Vs Jay Rod, and discuss the recent dropouts from ADCC, speculate on why and discuss some of the people that have been confirmed for the event. In the preview of the Welterweight GP, we discussed the bracketing and some of the common matches between the men in the bracket. We also make our picks for each of the 3 rounds. Plus, discuss the rule set of the event and how it might lead to certain people being favored over others.     This week on the show, Maine and Rachael recap Polaris 37 team Polaris versus Team BJJ Stars. We also discussed Helena Crevar vs Amanda Pamela Nicole for the lightweight title. We kick off the show discussing the lightweight title match between Helena Crevar and Amanda Pamela Nicole, we talked about the pacing of Helena and her transition to the rear, naked choke finish in the second round.  In our recap of the squads event team Polaris versus Team BJJ Stars, we talk about the dominant leg lock heavy performance that the European team took over the Brazilian team winning the entire event 20 to 10.     #449 Was UFC BJJ 9 The Most Mismatched Card Yet?

    This we on the show Maine and Adam recap the UFC BJJ 9.  We run through every single matchup on the card and discuss how many first round finishes took place and overall the general matchmaking that led to that outcome.  We kick it off recapping the Light Heavyweight title Mason Fowler vs Devhonte Johnson that had mason Fowler win via Rear-Naked Choke after a single arm drag in the first round.  In the Co-main event Gilbert "Durinho" Burns vs Horlando Monteiro also ended in  Rear-Naked Choke in the first round.  In Nick Rodriguez vs Joao Nicolite we talked about Nicky Rods body lock passing and turtle attack to a first round Rear-Naked Choke win.  In Ffion Davies vs Amanda Bruse we talked about Bruse initial triangle from the back sequence then Ffion escaping to top and passing to the back then finishing with an Armbar in the first round.  In Bella Mir vs Nichelle Johnson we talked about the two rounds of control Bella had ending both rounds on the back looking for the RNC then finishing with a Kimura to Armbar transition in the third round.  In Achilles Rocha vs Filipe Pimentel we talked about the quick pace and first round  Heel Hook win for Achillies.  In John Chandler vs Raphael Ferreira we talked about the come from behing third round last second Triangle Choke win from Chandler.  In Mourece Ramirez vs Victor Delibero we talked about the back and forth and  Unanimous Decision the for Ramirez the only decision of the card.  In Ana Lima vs Amanda Mazza we talked about the Violin Armbar finish from Ana.     This week on the show, Maine and Miranda recap the 2026 IBJJF worlds.  We recap every single black belt finals match for both the men's and the women's divisions, including the absolute and open class.  We take off the recap discussing the men's division starting with the rooster weight division all the way up through the divisions into the men's absolute.  After that, we recap the women's divisions and finish with the women's ultra heavyweight and absolute finals.     This week Maine and Miranda take a look back at Brazilian Jiu-jitsu history and discuss every single move named after a guy or person in the sport of BJJ.  This is a special one off show that we put together while Maine is out of the country on his honeymoon regular shows will return next week. This week we take a look and do a historical deep dive, going through some of the history and notable matches behind every single move in the port that we call by a person's name.     #445 Was UFC BJJ 8 All Mismatches? Event Recap

    This week on the show, Maine and Corey recap the UFC BJJ 8 headlined by  the Bantamweight Title fight Mikey Musumeci vs Kevin Dantzler.  In the recap section of the show, we kick it off, talking about the third defense of the bantamweight title by Mikey Musumeci we discussed the lead to the match and be very quick leg lock sequence that Mikey hit to win. We then discuss some possible opponents or potentially Mikey moving up to featherweight to continue his reign of dominance against additional competitors. In our recap of the Co-Main Event for the Women's Bantamweight Title Cassia Moura vs Sabrina Gondim, we discussed some of the takedown back-and-forth in the first round and then discussed the fantastic back cake sequence from Cassia to win and defend her belt for the first time with a rear naked choke.  We breakdown William Tackett vs Manuel Ribamar, discussing the heel hook finish and set up from William Tackett and discuss the speed of Ribimars defense when Tackett throws the sub. We discussed the debut of Ethan Crelinsten vs Danilo Moreira, we talk about his fantastic back, take and quick rear naked, choke victory, and now that he is in the UFC BJJ system how much we would like to see him, contend for the lightweight title as soon as possible.  We discussed the rematch between Derek Rayfield vs Jett Thompson, we talk about Jett's passing and mount game and the very interesting defensive responses from Derek. Then the Caio Terra ankle lock finish from Jett late in the match.  In the rematch between Landon Elmore vs Keith Krikorian, we talk about Keith, preventing the leg lock entries from Landon and then dominating in top position all three rounds for a clean, unanimous decision. We discuss the rear, naked, choke victory in the Liam Crelinsten vs Max Livingston match, that saw Liam make a commanding debut.     #444 UFC BJJ 8 Preview

    This week on the show, Maine and Adam preview the UFC BJJ 8 card headlined by Bantamweight Title fight between Mikey Musumeci vs Kevin Dantzler. In the preview section of the show, we discussed the Bantamweight title we talk about Mikey's recent interest in top pressure and passing and how he has stated that he wants to showcase more of that smash in recent interviews. We discussed the leg lock game and some comment opponents, and a likely pathway to victory for Mikey. In our preview of the Women’s Flyweight Title Fight between Cassia Moura vs Sabrina Gondim we talk about the recent last-minute opponent change to Sabrina. We talk about some of the top pressure we have seen from her game. We also discussed possible avenues for Cassia to implement her wrestling game like she has in recent matches in the bowl in this match. We look at the records and discuss the possibility of another decision victory for the champion. We discussed the previous matchup of William Tackett versus William Tackett vs Enrico Said, a matchup that has now been replaced with Tackett vs Manuel Ribamar. We discussed Ethan Crelinsten vs Danilo Moreira, we talked about Ethan coming over from Polaris and his recent championship level performances contrasted with Danillo, we talked about a potential title pathway for both athletes off of this matchup. In our discussion of the rematch between Andy Varela vs Jett Thompson, we discussed if Andy Vareille's recent performances and discussions of hanging it up, we play a factor in this rematch and if Jett will be able to fix the elements of his game that led to him getting submitted in their first matchup. In our discussion of the rematch between Landon Elmore vs Keith Krikorian, we talk about the prospect Landon versus the now veteran in Keith and have the tables have turned over the years in our coverage of Keith. We talked about the camp that Landon comes from and how much tape there is on Krikorian, contrasted with the recent performance, Landon had against Rerison Gabriel as a potential blueprint for success on Keiths end.  Recorded 5-18-2026
