    The Season in the Valley

    To everything there is a season, and no matter what season you find yourself in, God is with you. The Christian life is filled with both mountain-top moments and valley experiences. One day you may feel like you are on the mountain, and the next you may find yourself walking through a valley. But the valley is not the end of your story. In this message, we explore the different reasons we may find ourselves in a valley. Sometimes the valley is the result of our own decisions, pride, or stepping outside of God’s will. Sometimes others may contribute to the circumstances we face, just as Joseph’s brothers placed him in a pit. And sometimes, the valley is simply a part of living in a fallen world. Not every valley is the result of something we did or a spiritual attack. Sometimes life simply happens. Regardless of how you got there, God is with you in the valley. When we recognize our mistakes and turn back to God, He is already there to help us. Even when we have to walk through natural consequences, we can be spiritually restored and positioned in His will. This season is not a time to compare your journey with someone else’s. Everyone experiences valleys, and every season has a purpose. God can use the valley to develop you, strengthen you, and give you the flavor needed to be the salt of the earth. In this message, we cover: God’s presence in every season of life Why Christians experience both mountains and valleys The different circumstances that can lead us into a valley How our own decisions can sometimes create valleys What to do when we realize we have stepped outside of God’s will How others can contribute to the valleys we experience The valleys that simply come from living in a fallen world Why we should never compare our season to someone else’s How God can use the valley to develop and strengthen us The importance of praising God and giving Him glory in the valley The valley is not a place to give up. Praise God in the valley. Trust Him in the valley. Give Him glory in the valley. If you are in the valley today, remember that valleys are surrounded by mountains. The existence of the valley is proof that there is a mountain ahead. God is with you in the valley, and He is not finished with you yet.
