Live from the Carnival
Thank you for live streaming from the Carnival. It was enjoyable.
With the last carnival, NBC Sports Philadelphia did a live broadcast with a later rebroadcast with Jim Jackson and Katie Emmer Storm hosting. When games were shown OTA, the OTA channel would show the carnival for 2 live hours then a replay at night on Comcast Sportsnet / NBC Sports Philadelphia. It was a big disservice of the organization not to broadcast some of the carnival on NBC Sports Philadelphia or at at least live stream on the Flyers website.
Keep up the good work with the podcast.
It’s more than just a game recap
Despite the Flyers dismal record, I’ve stayed loyal to this podcast because the guys talk about the culture that made the Flyers one of the elite franchises in pro sports. Coverage is balanced and objective, yet filled with the passion that make Philly sports fans unique. I’m especially happy that they covered the 2023 Flyers Carnival on-site. It evokes memories of taking my young daughter to the event in 2015. To this day, she remains loyal to the Orange and Black, even though we now reside in Georgia. Thanks and keep up the great work !
Always Entertaining
Big fan of the pod and usually agree with Bundy, but I don’t want Clarke, Barber or Holmgren having the ear of anyone on anything in the Flyers organization. I don’t even want them giving suggestions on the brand of coffee they buy for the break room. I’m 36 and can appreciate their importance to the organization, but the Flyers need fresh voices and a new vision moving forward. The “Flyers culture” of taking care of their own is understandably beloved by alumni, but seeing as we’re about to broach 50 years without a cup, it hasn’t done anything to help us succeed on the ice. I love all the teams in this city, but would trade the 08’ World Series and Super Bowl 52 without blinking for one Stanley Cup in my lifetime.
