A little bit about Joe Joe Plecker is the director of instruction at The Landings in Savannah , Ga. and a PGA Master Golf Professional in Teaching & Coaching and He is a GOLF Magazine’s Top 100 teacher . Joe is the 2024 Georgia PGA Teacher of the Year. He is also a member of the PGA’s National Education Adjunct Faculty and helps Associates with their teaching content for all levels leading to membership. He is one of fhe the Head of Ambassadors for Swing Catalyst, He plays an active role in Swing Catalyst Education both online and in person at certification events.In this conversation we talk about the mentorship of his father, Coleman Plecker, who is one of the PGA’s first Master Professionals. He was fortunate to have spent many years learning about teaching as a student of Bill “Coach” Strausbaugh, Jr. at Columbia Country Club in Maryland, near his father’s club, Manor Country Club in Rockville. I appreciate Joes honesty, transparency about his life and high integrity as he shares his journey as well as his willing to help others through some incredible life lessons that he has learned along the way. Nathan is a Canadian teaching professional, a former professional golfer that played on the Canadien tour and oversees as well until a back injury lead him to coaching. He is the founder of the Tour Development Acadwmy. He was also the PGA of BC teacher of the year in 2022. Nathan has one of the most intersting side hustles as of late which I am super jealous about being a movie guy,  as he was hired as the official golf consultant for Apple TVs original series "Srick" starring Owen Wilson and Peter Dager. So you know we go into the behind the scenes of what  his role was on the show and you know that I had some pick an nits that I had to challenge him on but all in good fun. I'm glad you asked because Nick has been instrumental in creating several golf instruction and biomechanics facebook groups over the years that have brought hundreds of coaches, biomechanics, trainers and fitness professionals together for debates and discussions. He is also one of the people that runs the biggest teaching summit in the country called "Open Forum" along with Michael Michelides and Chris Como. It started in 2013 and is held on the Tuesday of PGA Show week. I have attended every one of them and it is a can't miss every year for teachers, coaches and golf enthusiasts.
