1 Corinthians 16 | Victorious in Motherhood | Lynette Taylor

“God provides everything we need. He has given us the victory through Jesus.” God is not surprised by our needs, shortcomings, fears or failures. He calls us to rest in Him and find our hope and confidence in the fact that He is victorious!  Listen in to today’s episode as our Great Lakes Division Coordinator, Lynette Taylor, walks us through 1 Corinthians 16, finishing out our Victorious in Motherhood series.  The Moms in Prayer Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. To find practical and spiritual advice to help you grow into the parent you want to be visit ChristianParenting.org ABOUT OUR GUEST In 1994, I was a young mother of three boys and pregnant with my fourth, when my mom bought me the Moms in Prayer Booklet. I was in a stage of life where I would have protected my children from everything if I could, but I quickly discovered that was impossible. As I started praying in a Moms in Prayer group, my relationship with the Lord began to take shape. I went from knowing about Him, to really trusting Him, His name, and His character. Praying together with other moms not only taught me how to pray, but how to let go of all I wanted to control and to trust God—His word, His work, His provision, and His plans. My husband Tom and I have been married for 41 years and we live in Deshler, Ohio. We have been blessed with four sons, two beautiful daughter-in-loves and five adorable grandchildren. I have been a part of Moms in Prayer for over 30 years. I served as the State Coordinator for Ohio from 2015-2022. I currently serve as the Great Lakes Division Coordinator, which include Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. SCRIPTURES The heart of man plans his way,     but the Lord establishes his steps. Proverbs 16:9 ESV “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O death, where is your victory?     O death, where is your sting?” 1 Corinthians 15:55 ESV You prepare a table before me     in the presence of my enemies; Psalm 23:5a ESV Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12 ESV If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done. God’s ways are as mysterious as the pathway of the wind and as the manner in which a human spirit is infused into the little body of a baby while it is yet in its mother’s womb. Keep on sowing your seed, for you never know which will grow—perhaps it all will. Ecclesiastes 11:4-6 TLB I would have lost heart, unless I had believed  That I would see the goodness of the Lord  In the land of the living. Psalm 27:13 NKJV Tackle every task that comes along, and if you fear God, you can expect his blessing. Ecclesiastes 7:18 TLB LINKS MOMS IN PRAYER New to Moms in Prayer? 1 Corinthians 15 | Victorious in Motherhood | Sally Burke

“Every day we get an opportunity to say to God, ‘Here I am. I am Your vessel. How can I live for you?’ We have a choice. Are we going to live for the world? Or are we going to live for God?” Life with God is full of joy, peace and love! Moms in Prayer President, Sally Burke, joins us again to talk through 1 Corinthians 15, the chapter where our theme “Victorious” comes from. We CAN be victorious in life and in motherhood because of the truth of the gospel and because God is with us! The Moms in Prayer Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. To find practical and spiritual advice to help you grow into the parent you want to be visit ChristianParenting.org ABOUT OUR GUEST Sally Burke’s introduction to the ministry in 1990 was life changing. Compelled by joy and the hope God gave as she prayed with others for her children and their schools, Sally began to reach out and share with other moms—first as a Moms in Prayer group leader, then area coordinator for her hometown of Temecula, California, and later as regional coordinator for Riverside County. In 2008, Sally became the Director of Field Ministry at Moms in Prayer headquarters, overseeing ministry expansion worldwide. Today, in her role as President of Moms in Prayer International, her vision remains unchanged, that more children and schools and moms might experience God’s life-changing answers to prayer. Sally is also an international speaker, teacher and author of Raise Them Up, Start with Praise, Unshaken and the Unshaken Study Guide. As a child growing up in Florida, Sally was fascinated with the space program and began her career as a space shuttle engineer with a Master of Science in Management. After her marriage and the birth of two children, Sally and her husband came to faith in Christ, and Moms in Prayer soon became a top priority. She and husband, Ed, now have four grown children, two sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law and five grandchildren. In her leisure time, you’ll find Sally on a walk/run, curled up with a good book or enjoying the company of friends. SCRIPTURES But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:57-58 ESV “Arise, cry out in the night,     at the beginning of the night watches! Pour out your heart like water     before the presence of the Lord! Lift your hands to him     for the lives of your children, who faint for hunger     at the head of every street.” Lamentations 2:19 ESV In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, Ephesians 1:13 ESV He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, Ecclesiastes 3:11a ESV Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38 ESV LINKS MOMS IN PRAYER New to Moms in Prayer? 1 Corinthians 14 | Victorious in Motherhood | Heidi Fromke

“Whatever our gifts are, we need to use them to build up others and point them to Christ so they can know Him and He can receive the glory.” Heidi Fromke, our Appalachian Division Coordinator, joins us on the podcast today to talk through 1 Corinthians 14. She reminds us of the importance of using our God given gifts for encouraging and building up the church. In our flesh, it is easy to fall into the trap of wanting to make ourselves look good and impress others with what we can do, but God can use us in far greater ways when we live our lives for His glory. The Moms in Prayer Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. To find practical and spiritual advice to help you grow into the parent you want to be visit ChristianParenting.org ABOUT OUR GUEST Learning to hold her kids loosely and trust God with them is a daily challenge which Heidi found to be especially true when her boys were just beginning school. It was during this time of trying to “let go” a bit that she found Moms in Prayer after hearing Moms in Prayer Founder, Fern Nichols, on the radio. The Lord encouraged her to start a Moms in Prayer group at her sons’ school in 2003. She prayed with this group of moms for 17 years. They joined her in covering her boys, their kids and their school community. They lifted their requests to God and saw Him do immeasurably more than they could ask or imagine as He walked with them through a son’s illness, Young Life established at the school, and students’ hearts turned to Christ. Heidi has come to know the Lord in an amazingly intimate way as He has shown her His love for her boys and that He truly can be trusted above all else. She has been married to Mark, who has filled her days with laughter since 1990. They have three boys in their twenties, two amazing daughters-in-law and two grandsons! After growing up in Minnesota and spending a few years in St. Louis, they have fallen in love with North Carolina. Heidi is looking forward to watching God work as He draws other moms to experience His power, grace and loving acceptance through prayer! SCRIPTURES we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.” Acts 2:11b ESV Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right, but we endure anything rather than put an obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ. 1 Corinthians 9:12b ESV For by people of strange lips     and with a foreign tongue the Lord will speak to this people, Isaiah 28:11 ESV LINKS New to Moms in Prayer? 1 Corinthians 13 | Victorious in Motherhood | Robin Elliott

“Because of His love and Jesus’ sacrifice for us, we will fully know Him and worship Him forever.” Because of God’s great love, He sent His Son so we could be in His presence for all eternity. And His love is an example to us of how we are to love others.  Today on the podcast, our United States Country Coordinator, Robin Elliott, joins us on the podcast to talk through 1 Corinthians 13, the love chapter. As followers of Christ, we are called to love others. And it may not be with the kind of love you think. Listen in to hear how God calls each of us to love those around us.  The Moms in Prayer Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. To find practical and spiritual advice to help you grow into the parent you want to be visit ChristianParenting.org ABOUT OUR GUEST Robin has been married to her husband, John, since 1986. When their oldest started school, she heard about Moms in Prayer on the radio and joined a group for the local school. That was the beginning of an amazing journey which has led from Minnesota to Idaho and from a group member into leadership. Robin currently serves as USA Country Coordinator. Through Moms in Prayer, she has learned that one hour a week can put the rest of the week’s activities into perspective. Over and over, God has multiplied her time when she put Him first. She would love for each woman to have that same experience. Robin has found that when she gets busy and becomes distracted, it is easy to lose perspective and move ahead in her own strength. But when she sets aside weekly time to pray with others in a Moms in Prayer group, her focus on who God is and what God has done gives her all she needs to handle every situation she faces. 2 Samuel 22:33 reminds us that “It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.” SCRIPTURES For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way? 1 Corinthians 3:3 ESV Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Romans 12:15 ESV Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Romans 12:9 ESV Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 1 Peter 5:6 ESV LINKS New to Moms in Prayer? 1 Corinthians 12 | Victorious in Motherhood | Sandra Bosch

“God loves us equally. He does not love one more because he is doing more. He does not love one less because he sinned again. No, His love is overwhelming and accessible for all of us.” God, in His mercy and lovingkindness, has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit. And through Him, we have received spiritual gifts to serve Him and build up the body of Christ. And yet, our flesh can get in the way! Listen in to this week’s episode with our Chile Country Coordinator, Sandra Bosch, and be encouraged in using your gifts for the glory of God and the good of the church. The Moms in Prayer Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. To find practical and spiritual advice to help you grow into the parent you want to be visit ChristianParenting.org ABOUT OUR GUEST Sandra Bosch has a genuine passion for prayer and encouraging women in the gift of intercession. Since she accepted Christ as her Savior, the Lord has guided, challenged and trained her in praying for others, filling her heart with His love for the lost. In 2010, the Lord introduced her to Moms in Prayer, with the need to prayer for her then 2-year-old daughter. Currently, Sandra serves as Country Coordinator in Chile together with many incredible women who serve beside her on the Moms in Prayer International Chilean Team. Sandra and her husband Juan Pablo reside in Santiago de Chile, with their two lovely daughters, Anabel (17) and Tamara (13), and their two Chilean Fox Terriers, Manchita and Chiquitin.  SCRIPTURES because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 ESV As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11 ESV “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! Matthew 7:7-11 ESV For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing… Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! Romans 7:19, 25a NIV I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 1 Corinthians 3:6-8 NIV LINKS New to Moms in Prayer? 1 Corinthians 11 | Victorious in Motherhood | Delise Barnes

“One of our highest callings is to come alongside our husbands and help them to be the men that God has called them to be so that we can be the couple that God has called us to be.” In 1 Corinthians 11, we are reminded that God has given a proper order to everything. As wives, God has given us the beautiful assignment of building up our husbands and submitting to them, just as Jesus submitted to the Father’s will. When we place God as supreme in our lives, He will give us what we need to love and serve others as He has called us to. Hear more from our Mississippi State Coordinator, Delise Barnes, in the podcast.  The Moms in Prayer Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. To find practical and spiritual advice to help you grow into the parent you want to be visit ChristianParenting.org ABOUT OUR GUEST I was new in town and saw a Moms in Prayer flyer inviting moms to attend a group meeting. I dropped in on the meeting and it was great! The four steps format was easy to follow and we prayed Scripture straight from the Bible over our children and their schools. We prayed together in small groups of two or three. It was comforting to know that what we prayed about stayed in our group. We went through many trials and struggles with all of our children, but the comfort and peace I had every time I left those meetings was indescribable. We had indeed gone to battle for our children through prayer. I was born in Alabama. I am a wife, mom, Bible teacher, Board certified Biblical Counselor and Co-founder with my husband at Ready to Remarry Ministries. I love serving with Moms in Prayer as State Coordinator of Mississippi. I have a burning desire in my heart to see others learn about the love of Jesus and how He can transform their lives. Prayer changes things; I know this for sure. My husband, James, and I are blessed with seven children. That’s a lot of prayers, for sure. One of the very best things you can do for your children and others in this world today is pray. I will be, and I hope you will join me! SCRIPTURES There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28 ESV saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”Luke 22:42 ESV “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:26 ESV If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.1 John 1:9 ESV LINKS BOOKS New to Moms in Prayer?
