No Such Thing As A Bad Movie

I’m a fan of the wider Declouxniverse of podcasts and this one is special. What I’m looking for in a bad movie podcast (and tbh this is the only one I still listen to) outside of chemistry between interesting hosts is a selection of movies that push certain buttons, usually it is like a nostalgia thing but it also could just be a certain vibe or tone setting. The hosts all seem to have a venn diagram of interests and vibes that intersect a lot but not completely which means that there are moments where there’s a lot of variety. The show is 5 stars, the Patreon feed is 6 stars.

I love the episodes that you guys made. Your opinions on terrible movies are pretty true. I do sometimes disagree but I still listen to the podcast. If I had a YouTube channel, I will mention the podcast as an inspiration for the channel. I give this podcast a 5/5 Stars!

People with microphones who barely remember anything and have boring meandering conversations in which they correct each other does not a podcast make.

I love this podcast; it’s incredibly fun and relaxed. The hosts don’t take things too seriously (they’re not blowhards) but they still put in a great deal of effort and offer plenty of clever, insightful, and amusing commentary on the films. I could listen to Colin discuss VFX or special effects and his highly technical expertise for days. April’s unpretentious taste and feminine perspective is subtle but appreciated, and her insight on editing and color grading is interesting to hear. Justin brings a nice energy without going overboard and his pure passion for filmmaking and film history shines through. I’m thinking of moving to Canada now.
