    Wisconsin Wyffels Corn Belt Award Winner - Drew Tratar

    As a Wyffels Corn Belt Award winner, Drew Tratar shows his passion and commitment through his involvement in his school, community, and the agriculture industry. Drew currently plays varsity football, basketball, and is involved in trap shooting. He also participates in golf, FFA, and a youth apprenticeship, saying he loves competing against friends to help each other improve. Drew likes helping younger athletes improve and enjoyed winning a the 2026 USA Clay Target High School National Championship with his teammates. Within his community, he runs the Big Buck Contest to promote participation and safety in hunting. He has also collected over 600 non-perishable food items along with the contest. He also helps with the student-led business at his school to help raise money for new equipment. While Drew did not grow up directly on a farm, his family is still very involved in agriculture. He knows the hard work that it takes, and recognizes that it's not just about money; it's about doing things for his community, holding up values and tradition. Drew is planning to attend the University of Wisconsin at either Platteville or River falls to study agribusiness.     Nebraska Wyffels Corn Belt Award Winner - Grace Finnegan

    Grace Finnegan was nominated for the Wyffels Corn Belt Award for her dedication and commitment in the classroom and on the court. In school, Grace is on the volleyball team and part of the student senate. She is also part of FLA, FBLA, One Act, and the National Honor Society. Grace loves the bonds she makes with teammates as well as competitors through these activities, creating friendships even if she competes against them. She has also made connections with industry professionals who may support her in the future. These bonds have all helped her, whether it be professionally, academically, or emotionally. Grace says agriculture represents America's future, as it plays a role in nearly every industry throughout the nation, from food to manufacturing. Without agriculture, the economy and daily life will be deeply affected. Grace sees how young people can make an impact in growing the agriculture industry. Her local FFA chapter supports farmers and ranchers with free meals or by helping out on their operations. The 4-H members are also learning about agriculture first-hand by raising and showing their own livestock, allowing youth to see the hard work and dedication required to be in the ag industry. In the community, Grace helps out at her local church, through 4-H, and the Holt/Boyd County Extension Office. She also volunteers with the Spencer Community Foundation, supporting youth, public spaces, and schools. After high school, Grace plans to attend the University of Nebraska - Lincoln to study agricultural education. She wants to become an ag teacher and FFA advisor to support and encourage the next generation of agriculturalists.     South Dakota Wyffels Corn Belt Award Winner - Chase Jones

    As a Wyffels Corn Belt Award winner, Chase Jones shows his passion and commitment through his involvement in his school, community, and the agriculture industry. Chase currently plays basketball and is involved in the National Honor Society and FFA, saying he has a lot of fun competing in FFA and basketball. Chase is very involved in his community, volunteering to teach Sunday School at church, cleaning up ditches with FFA, and running youth basketball camps during the summer. To Chase, agriculture is the process crops and livestock go through to get from farm to table. The agriculture industry is also about how to make this process more efficient to support the world. After high school, Chase plans to attend South Dakota State University to study something agriculture related. He is interested in pursuing a career in agronomist, ag engineer, or working on his family farm.
