    雨の日が多かった今年の夏。その合間をぬって８月に家族でプチ旅行をしてきました。場所はニューヨーク州キャッツキル山地にあるハンターマウンテン。夏場のスキーリゾートで思いの外楽しむことができました！今回は「高所恐怖症」の私が初体験したアクティビティや近郊の観光スポットをお話します！！ “Season 2 Begins! Overcoming My Fear of Heights!? ~Summer Memories”This summer had a lot of rainy days. We managed to squeeze in a little family trip in August. Our destination was Hunter Mountain in the Catskill Mountains of New York State. It’s a summer ski resort, and we had way more fun than we expected!     2026年8月1日（土）ニュージャージー州オーバーペックカウンティパークで行われたJapan Food Festival２０２６の生リポートをお届けします！！ 今年で３回めとなるニュージャージー日本人会主催のJapan Food Festivalは、ニューヨークで大人気のジャパンフェスと共催で行われ、全３０店舗におよぶ人気の日本の食べ物の提供だけでなく、ステージ上での豪華なパフォーマンスも昼の部と夜の部の２回に分けて行われました。来場者の方へのインタビュー、そして主催者の近藤三奈さんへのインタビューも交えて熱気いっぱいの会場の雰囲気をお伝えします！！ “Japan Fest 2026!! Live Report from New Jersey!” This is a live report from the” Japan Food Festival 2026”, held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Overpeck County Park in New Jersey!! Now in its third year, the “Japan Food Festival”—organized by the Japanese American Association of New Jersey—was held in collaboration with the hugely popular “JAPAN Fes New York”. In addition to offering popular Japanese foods from a total of 30 vendors, the event featured spectacular stage performances divided into two sessions: a daytime show and an evening show.     先月７月は大気が不安定の状態が続き、毎週のように強風や激しい雨、雷などを伴うストームが発生し、今年に入って初めての竜巻も発生しました。これまでのアメリカ生活で何度となく経験しているこうしたストームのうちで家の中が洪水被害にあった体験談をいくつかお話します！！ “Storm occurs! Flooding on the upper floors!?” Last month, in July, the atmosphere remained unstable, with storms accompanied by strong winds, heavy rain, and lightning occurring almost every week. We also experienced our first tornado of the year.
