From New York to San Diego: Baseball, Pizza & Live From the Dugout | Episode 283

What do retired MLB players wish they had known when they were 12 years old? On this episode of the Livin’ in San Diego podcast, we sit down with Jeff Lerner to talk about his move from New York to San Diego, the adjustment from East Coast life to the San Diego lifestyle, his love of sports memorabilia, and his new project, Live From the Dugout. In this episode of the Living in San Diego Podcast, Chris and Cass sit down with Jason Farnan, better known as Lieutenant Facemelter, the 2013 U.S. National Air Guitar Champion. Jason gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the wild world of competitive air guitar, from local San Diego competitions to the U.S. Nationals and the Air Guitar World Championships in Oulu, Finland. Palm Trees, Secret Bars, and Cyclovia in Encinitas | Episode 279

San Diego is packed this week! Chris and Cassidy kick things off with a weekend full of local baseball, soccer, a beach cleanup in Solana Beach, and an anniversary dinner at Amalfi in San Marcos. Then they dive into the biggest sports news in town — the San Diego Sockers clinch their 17th indoor title with the Ron Newman Cup, while San Diego FC navigates injuries and a rough stretch. Plus, the Padres' offense is leaving a lot to be desired. On the local scene, Chris and Cassidy spotlight Arcana, a new secret cocktail den coming to Encinitas, a fresh outdoor deck at Michi Brewery, and the return of Cyclovia to Encinitas on May 17th — when Coast Highway shuts down for cyclists and pedestrians. And yes, the Apple Store in North County is closing its doors. This week's San Diego Story digs into something you've probably never thought twice about — palm trees. Spoiler: most aren't native. They uncover the fascinating history of the "Serra Palm," planted in 1769 and believed to be California's very first. 🎙️ Livin’ in San Diego – Your go-to podcast for all things San Diego!
