    The Threat of Socialism: Real or Perceived?

    More than ever, we've seen a surge of socialism dominating the political spectrum. More candidates have adopted a socialist mindset than at any time in our modern history. The Daily Signal points out that according to a new report by the State Policy Network, "...the real strength lies in its organizing power at the state and local levels, which provides the ability to raise up national leaders." The State Policy Network also reported that in 2013, the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America) showed just 21 chapters, mostly in metropolitan areas. That has now grown some ten times to 204 distinct chapters and 45 organizing committees. And these are not limited to just blue states but in red ones as well. While most victories have come on the state and local level, this November 3rd has the potential to have two such candidates win a seat taking them to the United States Senate. Brooke Medina, vice president of communications at the State Policy Network, indicated that the Democratic Socialists of America aren't just building momentum: "they're building their bench" of candidates in elections to come. Yet there are others that are downplaying both the role and impact of socialism upon our country and in this forthcoming election, some believe that capitalism is the real threat and socialism is simply an effort to protect the rights of the working person.

    Alex Newman Rally - "Exposing the Globalist Agenda"

    What is globalism? According to Alex: "In short, it's the idea that we should get rid of nations and all merge into a one-world system." On that note, this broadcast looks at people like John Foster Dulles, Alger Hiss, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Richard Haass, and more, as well as organizations like the Bohemian Grove, Skull and Bones, the Illuminati, and the Council on Foreign Relations. These are just some of the people and organizations that have been tied to the idea that global problems require global solutions. The problem with that philosophy is what lies just beneath the surface. It's the reality that in order to accomplish this you must establish global governance and that involves the abolishing of sovereign nations, family and private property. You'll hear that this is hardly a conspiracy theory. As Alex notes, the people pushing this today are talking about it more openly than ever and doing it through that which is central to all of this: the climate crisis and its related sustainable development goals.

    Poll: Alarming Number of Young Americans Support Shariah

    What is Sharia and what does it teach us, particularly about the dominance of men? How does it treat apostasy? Under Sharia, how are Muslims to treat Christians and Jews?     DC Gospel Outreach Report & Future Vision

    Every second that passes, every hour that elapses, every flip of the calendar puts us closer to the time of the Lord's return or to our appointment with death. According to the CDC, one death occurs in the United States every 10 seconds. By the time you finish listening to this 54-minute program, 324 people will have been ushered into eternity. Some recognize their present health condition reveals there is not much time left. For others, death comes by total surprise due to an auto collision, a heart attack, an aneurism, a freak accident or just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. We just don't know when our appointment with death will occur. This is what compels believers in Christ to share the Gospel. Such is the case for our guest on this edition of Crosstalk who became burdened for our nation's capital, Washington D.C.     News Round Up and Comment

    It was another active news week. Here's your chance to get caught up via our Friday News Round-Up and Comment broadcast. Below are several highlights: --Jim began with news concerning a possible asylum hearing for William Whatcott, a pro-family activist who is a Canadian refugee in the U.S. He appeared on Crosstalk on September 24th. Jim provided audio updating listeners on his case, as well as a phone number to contact the Office of the Inspector General which is over DHS and ICE. --The town council of Ottumwa, Iowa, opened a meeting with a prayer to hail satan. However, a pastor was having none of it. Jim presented audio of the pastor's comments. --President Trump announced that the U.S. will not launch additional military strikes on Iran before the mid-term elections. --The senior Iranian commander has threatened to strike American military bases and warships across the Middle East if President Trump orders a ground invasion of Iran --Iran's oil minister has resigned. --Secretary of State Marco Rubio reported that Iran's grip on the Strait of Hormuz has significantly weakened in recent weeks as oil flows approach pre-war levels. --U.S. and French authorities have dismantled an international financing network accused of raising millions of dollars for Hamas, while presenting fundraising campaigns to donors as being humanitarian assistance for Palestinians in Gaza. --Iran-backed Houthi rebels intensified ballistic missile attacks against Saudi Arabia's capital of Riyadh on Thursday, disrupting international flights, threatening critical infrastructure, and raising fears of a broader regional war.

    The Bible and Your Vote

    Dr. Andy Woods is president of Chafer Theological Seminary & senior pastor of Sugar Land Bible Church in Houston. He's also a lawyer, a speaker at numerous Bible conferences, as well as an author of several books including the one discussed on this broadcast: The Bible and Your Vote: Biblical Principles for any Election. Before elections in recent years you may have heard someone say, "This is the most important election in our lifetimes!" In other words, there's some sense with many people that the consequences of such elections are greater than ever. In spite of this, there are many who make the following excuses not to vote: They claim their vote doesn't count. They believe their citizenship is in heaven, therefore they don't vote on the earth. Some believe that if they vote for the lesser of two evils, they're still voting for evil, therefore they feel obligated not to participate. God puts into office who he wills, therefore some people feel they must step aside and not get in the way. Review this broadcast, and you'll see why such excuses are not biblical, as Dr. Woods kicks things off by looking at voting as a matter of stewardship. From there he continues on by looking at other issues related to voting including economic, social, climate, power/personal rights, foreign policy and more. Listeners brought their questions and comments to the discussion as well.

    Israel Attacked by Hamas: 3 Years Later

    Following the dictates of the Quran such as 5:51 – "O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and Nasara (Christians) as friends." There's 9:73: "O you prophet, perform jihad against the infidels and the hypocrites, and be harsh with them. And their abode will be hell, and evil is the final place." There's 47:4: "So when you meet those who became infidels, so strike the necks until you have made a great slaughter among them." Lastly, there's 25:52: "So do not obey the infidels, and perform jihad against them with a big jihad." That's exactly what took place, three years ago today, when the Islamic terrorist group Hamas launched the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. On that day nearly 1,200 Israelis were killed and 251 people taken hostage. As Jihad Watch pointed out, "Terrorists burned people and pets alive, children among them, looted homes, set houses and neighborhoods on fire, took civilians and bodies and filmed it. One terrorist called his parents from a victim's phone and said he had butchered ten Jews, including the woman whose phone he had taken and her husband." The article continued, "...they shot civilians on the roads, in shelters and at intersections then drove on to the communities. They shot the old, fathers and mothers with children, and teenagers. They also killed whoever was in the way, including foreign workers." The attacks against Israel continue…

    Secret Societies: The Deep State Behind the Deep State

    Alex Newman is an award-winning international freelance journalist, author, researcher, educator and consultant. He is senior editor for The New American. He is founder and CEO of Liberty Sentinel and a national syndicator of radio and TV programs including Behind the Deep State which airs on WVCY Television (Milwaukee, WI) and VCY.tv. Earlier today Jim went into a search engine and asked the question, "What is the Deep State?" The response directed him to Wikipedia which stated, "The term deep state refers to an unauthorized, hidden network of power that operates within a government independently of its elected leaders to pursue its own goals." It went on to say as to its core, "It describes unelected state officials, bureaucrats, or military and intelligence personnel who supposedly influence or control government policy behind the scenes. In yet another place it refers to the deep state as being a political conspiracy theory that "posits the existence of a deep state within the US federal government, primarily composed of members of the FBI and CIA. Proponents argue that a clandestine network of conspirators within the leadership of the financial and industrial sectors exercise power alongside or within the elected government."
