Introducing: Welcome to the Brass Eagle

Welcome to the Brass Eagle is a ten episode fantasy fiction audio drama following a teleporting tavern and the dangers its inhabitants face in their travels. As the story develops, a deeper mystery unfolds. What exactly is the tavern, and just who is its mysterious Keeper? The transcript for this episode can be found here. Amara is a musician who has always dreamed of better things. When she is finally accepted into a traveling band, tensions at home send her out the door without so much as a goodbye to her mother and younger sister. As time goes on, she finds herself surrounded by rumors of the legendary–and dangerous–Brass Eagle Tavern, until one day…she finds herself on its doorstep. Written and directed by Connor Bushoven and co-produced by Connor Bushoven and Michael DeMauro. Sound Design by Candace Mortier, Marcus Siniscalchi, Amanda P.H. Bennett, and Yemi Kanmi. Narrated by Mike LeBeau. Starring E.R. Hollands as Amara, Abigail Turner as Lily, Madeleine Norton as Amara’s Mother, Meredith Nudo as Vega, Paul Warren as Drew, and Connor Bushoven as the Keeper. Featuring Diana Helen Kennedy as the emcee and the female storyteller, Brian Jeffords as the drunk taverngoer, Candace Mortier as the bartender, Brandon Ambs as the hooded clergyman, Mei Xin Bierzynski and Tim Winters as the bar patrons, Chrysanthe Grech, Maia Harlap, and Michael Mishkin as the storytellers, and Swann Grey and Ty Wilkins as the townies. The theme song, “A New Form” was written and performed by Polina Faustova. The ending song for this episode is “Living the Dream”, written and performed by Alyssa Gaiser as the Dread Halla Tavern. Support Season 4! We're Crowdfunding!

KICKSTARTER LINK HERE! You can also go to sidequestingpod.com! IT'S TIME! Seasons 1-3 are complete, and I'd love some help funding season 4. You can expect all the fun shenanigans of the previous seasons in a leveled up production. Season 4 is bigger and better, and I'm so excited for you to hear it! Want a taste of what's to come this season? We've got a bakery run by knights, a lord's advisor with a dark secret, a mayor sending folks on literal goose chases, a town obsessed with fox catching, a lost baby mimic, and more! I've spent years writing season 4, and I think it's the best one yet. The episodes have been recorded and are now in production, and S4E1 will drop December 1, 2026. Funding this production supports indie art and queer creatives in a world where that support is increasingly hard to find. Let's tell more stories with trans characters, queer love, and plotlines too niche for corporate dollars - even if we have to fund them ourselves. I'm looking to raise $2000 to cover the cost of 10 episodes (that's just $200 per episode). I produce Sidequesting on a shoestring budget because it's ultimately a labor of love. I'm also hoping to reach 100 backers! If you can only support at the lowest tier, you're still helping tremendously! And what can you get in return for your support? I've got loads of perks, including: Early ad-free episode access, 6 bonus episodes and a blooper supercut, patches, stickers, and postcards, as well as the opportunity to sponsor and episode or be an associate producer! If you love Sidequesting and want to support it, now is the perfect time. Get some perks, tell all your friends... and then settle in for a new season this December! Learn more about your ad choices.
