The first thing I will point out is that this theory does not interfere with the story. So Harry gets Fabian Prewett's watch, but what if I told you that Molly also has an item from her other brother's last stand. It is never confirmed what happened to Gideon, or his possessions. But I think I know what happened and who it was given to...CHARLIE! Now hear me out, Charlie is really good at Quidditch, but no one actually says anything about his grades, or wand work. On top of that, you then learn that he passes his wand to Ron. Why would he pass his wand, unless he got a new one and whether he makes his wand or buys it at Olivander, and he has a job that requires a wand for defence. This also might play a part into how the wand looks by the time it reaches Ron and is stated that "Ronald Weasley's first wand was 12", made of ash, and had a core of unicorn hair that stuck out at the end of the wand" meaning that the wand had to have gone through something before Ron. This could also explain why Molly was so mad when Ron broke his wand, because it was a family heirloom and the only thing left of her fallen brother. I also have a reason why she would give it to Ron and Charlie anyway. It is because at some point the family was struggling when Charlie was going to school when Fabian and Gideon died. Charlie needed a wand and in Mrs. Weasly's grief, gave the wand to Charlie instead of buying one. This is my theory compiled of evidence from many sources.
