Right for an enjoyable bite of science

The interesting thing about shortwave is something beyond the fact that you get a 10-15 minute look at some aspect of the world at a level that most everyone can follow and understand, the host is engaged but a bit light hearted, even beyond the excellent curation of the topics. What is best about shortwave is somehow they manage to convey a little of how we scientists feel about our work, the respect for the scientific process mixed with the wonder and joy of understanding something that previously not known. The topics chosen cover a broad enough field that practicing scientist will still learn something each week. For everyone else it is a chance to learn something most every weekday, and a chance to feel what science is like on the inside.
