    The Perfect Relationship

If only life was like in the movies, and we could have perfect relationships -- with spouses, family members, neighbors, bosses, friends, and neighbors. But we can't. Or can we? This Sunday we conclude our sermon series on how to build beautiful relationships the Jesus way. As we do so, we'll explore a passage where Jesus shows us how to have perfect imperfect relationships. No, that's not a typo. We're going to talk about how to have perfect imperfect relationships.

    Don’t Waste the Waiting

We all know what it feels like to end up in a place we never expected to be -- a season of disappointment, uncertainty, delay, or exile that we thought would be temporary but seems to be lasting far longer than we imagined. Where in your life right now do you feel stymied? God has a word for you this Sunday!

Why Do You Have To Be So . . . ?

However that sentence gets finished, it's never very uplifting. How many times has someone said something like that to you? How many times have you said something like that to someone else? As we continue our sermon series on how to build beautiful relationships the Jesus way, this Sunday we're going to tackle Jesus' teachings about not judging others to see if we can figure out we can offer honest feedback and accountability without being judgmental. Is that possible? If so, how?

When Up Is Down and Down Is Up

Life is not always what it seems. What we think is good for us often isn't, and what we think is bad is often good. The same is true in spiritual life. Jesus taught us many counterintuitive principles. This week we'll look at one of his most important counterintuitive principles, as we continue our sermon series on "How to Build Beautiful Relationships the Jesus Way."

    Saying The Hard Things

When you're in relationship with someone and you feel it's important to say something they don't want to hear, do you say it, or procrastinate, or worse yet, never say it? This week we'll ask, "What would Jesus do?" -- as we continue our sermon series called "Building Beautiful Relationships the Jesus Way." Our focus this week is on our ability to say -- and to hear -- hard things. Jesus has some very important points to teach us about both speaking and hearing the hard things.
