090- Peak Week: You’re Not Done Yet

What happens when you’re almost at the finish line… but your body and mind are telling you they’ve had enough? In this episode of The Rachel Rampton Show, I’m talking about the side of competition prep that doesn’t get shared nearly as often—the final stretch when you’re depleted, sore, tired, and discovering what you’re actually capable of. I’m sharing stories from my own preps, including the nights when finishing cardio felt almost impossible, breaking sessions into smaller pieces just to get them done, middle-of-the-night walks with Brandon, and the infamous hot-pool cardio where I promised him it would be “better.” 😂 Because getting truly stage lean isn’t always going to feel comfortable, in fact, not even close. That doesn’t mean we glorify suffering or believe harder is automatically better. There’s a difference between recklessly running yourself into the ground and recognizing that sometimes pursuing an extreme goal is simply going to require you to dig deep. And that becomes especially important during peak week—or what we call Grace Week at Grit & Grace. Grace Week isn’t your victory lap….yet. You’re not done because you made it to peak week. You’re not done because you woke up on show day. And you’re definitely not done after prejudging. We finish what we started—all the way through finals. In this episode, we talk about: What the final weeks of a bodybuilding prep can actually feel like Why feeling tired late in prep doesn’t automatically mean something is wrong The difference between productive discomfort and unnecessary suffering Why I recommend creating as much margin as possible during Grace Week What competitors should expect during the final days before a show Why you cannot mentally check out after prejudging Breaking overwhelming moments down into “one more day” How hard seasons create evidence of what you’re capable of Why grit doesn’t mean destroying yourself—and grace doesn’t mean quitting The identity you build when you keep your word even when the work gets hard One of the greatest things bodybuilding has taught me is that sometimes you reach what you thought was your limit…and discover there’s another gear inside of you. You don’t have to feel strong to take the next step. You don’t have to feel motivated. And you don't have to figure out how you're going to make it through the entire week. Sometimes you put your shoes on, turn on Rocky, look toward the finish line and tell yourself: One more day. Because every time you do, you’re collecting evidence about who you are. You are capable of more than you thought. Built with grit. Rooted in grace. ❤️‍🔥 #bodybuildingprep #bikinicompetitor #peakweek #npcbikini #gritandgrace

089- Facts Over Feelings, Stop Letting one bad day Rewrite the Story

Have you ever stepped on the scale, missed a workout, or gone off plan with one meal—and immediately convinced yourself you'd ruined everything? You're not alone. The problem usually isn't the fact itself. It's the story we attach to it. In this episode, we're talking about why one moment doesn't define your progress, how emotions can distort your perspective, and why learning to separate facts from feelings is one of the most powerful mindset shifts you can make. Whether you're in a fat-loss phase, preparing for a bodybuilding competition, or simply trying to become more consistent, this episode will help you stop reacting emotionally and start responding with wisdom. In this episode, we discuss: Why one bad day doesn't erase weeks of consistency The difference between facts and the stories we create about them Why scale fluctuations don't always reflect fat gain How emotional thinking can sabotage your progress Why coaches look for patterns—not isolated moments The importance of making protocol decisions based on data instead of emotions What Scripture teaches about taking our thoughts captive How to respond with truth instead of spiraling into self-defeat ***Your Action Step This Week*** The next time something doesn't go according to plan, pause before reacting. Ask yourself: What are the facts? Then ask: What story am I telling myself about these facts? Finally, ask: Is that story actually true? Choose truth over assumptions. Choose your next right step over perfection. Remember, one meal doesn't define you. One workout doesn't define you. One weigh-in doesn't define you. Your direction—and your willingness to return to your standards—does. ---Ready to Build More Than a Physique? Rachel believes lasting transformation starts from the inside out. Whether your goal is fat loss, stepping on stage, or becoming the healthiest, strongest version of yourself, she'll help you build the mindset, discipline, and confidence to sustain your results for life. If you're ready to stop starting over and start becoming the woman God created you to be, I'd love to help. 088- When Doing More is Holding You Back

If you're a high-achieving woman, you've probably had this thought before: "I just need to do more." More cardio. Less food. More work. More discipline. More hustle. But what if doing more isn't the answer? What if the next level of growth requires wisdom instead of more effort? In this episode, we're talking about one of the biggest lessons bodybuilding—and life—has taught me: discipline isn't about doing the most. It's about doing what the season requires. Sometimes the most disciplined decision is to push. Sometimes it's to recover. The key is learning the difference. In this episode, we discuss: Why high-achieving women often equate "doing more" with being disciplined The difference between stewardship and self-punishment Why muscle is built during recovery—not just during training How to recognize when your body, mind, or season is asking for consistency instead of more effort Why emotional decisions often lead to burnout The importance of trusting the process when results aren't immediately visible What Scripture teaches about seasons, patience, and faithful stewardship How wisdom helps you know when to push and when to recover ***Your Action Step This Week*** Before adding more to your plate, ask yourself: What does this season actually require of me? Then ask: Do I need more effort...or more trust? Do I need to push...or do I need to recover? Am I making this decision from wisdom...or from fear? Choose the response that aligns with the woman God is calling you to become—not the one your emotions are demanding in the moment. --Ready to Build a Strong Body and an Even Stronger Mindset? At Grit & Grace, we don't just build physiques—we build women who know how to train with wisdom, fuel with purpose, recover with intention, and trust the process. Whether your goal is fat loss, stepping on stage, or becoming the strongest version of yourself, you don't have to figure it out alone. If you're ready to stop chasing "more" and start building lasting transformation, I'd love to help. 087- You're Not Losing Motivation. Your Brain is Negotiating With the Standard.

Have you ever caught yourself saying… “I'm bored.” “I'm just not excited anymore.” “I think I've lost my drive for this.” What if you’re not actually losing motivation? What if your brain is simply negotiating with the standard you’ve set? In this episode, we’re diving into one of the biggest mindset shifts that separates women who keep starting over from women who create lasting transformation. Whether you’re in a fat-loss phase, preparing for a bodybuilding competition, building your business, or simply trying to become more consistent, your brain will always try to pull you back toward what’s familiar. That doesn’t mean you’re failing—it means you’re growing. The key is learning to recognize the difference between wisdom and negotiation. In this episode, we discuss: *Why losing motivation isn’t always the real problem *How your brain naturally resists new standards *The difference between goals and identity-based standards *Recognizing the voice of wisdom versus the voice of comfort *Why self-trust is built through ordinary, everyday decisions *How consistency—not perfection—creates lasting transformation *What Scripture teaches about staying faithful when results aren’t visible *Practical questions to help you stop negotiating with the woman you’re becoming Your Action Step This Week The next time you catch yourself saying, “I don’t feel like it,” pause and ask yourself: Is this wisdom…or is this my brain negotiating with my standard? Then ask: What would the woman I’m becoming choose today? One decision. One promise kept. One step forward. That’s how self-trust is built. That’s how standards become your identity. Ready to Stop Starting Over? If you’re ready to build more than just a healthier body—if you’re ready to become a woman who trusts herself, follows through, and lives with grit and grace—I would love to help you. Whether your goal is fat loss, stepping on stage, or simply becoming stronger in every area of your life, my coaching is designed to help you create lasting transformation from the inside out. 086- You Don’t Need to Feel Ready. You Need to Become the Woman Who Keeps Going

What if the resistance you keep trying to get rid of is actually the exact place where your next identity is being built? So many women are waiting to feel more motivated, more confident, more disciplined, or more ready before they take the next step. But confidence doesn’t always come before action. Sometimes, confidence is built because you took action before you felt ready. In this episode, I’m sharing what I’m learning in real time through my own competition prep, going back to school, running my business, and coaching women who are being asked to step into their own next level. We’re talking about the power of creating evidence. Every time you keep a promise to yourself, do the thing you’ve been avoiding, trust the process when your feelings get loud, or get back up instead of spiraling—you are giving your brain evidence of who you are becoming. In this episode, we talk about: • Why waiting to feel ready can keep you stuck • How action creates evidence and evidence builds self-trust • Why confidence is often built after you do the hard thing • The difference between discipline and constantly doing more • Knowing when your next level requires you to push—and when it requires you to recover • Breaking old patterns through small acts of aligned action • Controlling the controllables when you can’t control the outcome • The role faith plays when you don’t feel qualified or completely confident • How grit and grace work together in the process of becoming The question I want you to take with you this week is: What is one thing you’ve been waiting to feel ready to do? Then ask yourself: What would the woman I say I’m becoming do today? And go give yourself the evidence. You don’t become her and then start acting like her. You start acting like her—and through every rep, every hard decision, every promise kept, and every act of obedience—you become her. 🔥 READY TO TAKE YOUR PHYSIQUE TO THE NEXT LEVEL? If you’re dreaming about stepping on stage, preparing for your next competition, or you know there is another level inside of you, Grit & Grace may be exactly what you’re looking for. This is about more than building a stage-ready body. We’re building women who know how to execute, trust themselves, hold a higher standard, and become who their next level requires them to be. 084- Food Freedom Isn’t Something you Have. It’s Something you Build

Have you ever started the weekend with the best intentions… only to find yourself saying, "I'll just start over on Monday"? You're not alone—and you're not lacking discipline. In this episode, Rachel shares why food isn't the real problem. The real battle happens in the thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that follow one "off-plan" meal. Drawing from her own journey long before stepping on a bodybuilding stage, Rachel explains how food freedom isn't something you're born with—it's something you build through repeated choices, renewed identity, and consistent practice. She also introduces her RARE Reset Framework—a neuroscience and faith-based approach to breaking the all-or-nothing cycle by learning to: Rewire old thought patterns Anchor into God's truth and your identity Regulate your nervous system instead of reacting emotionally Execute the next right step without waiting for Monday Whether you're working toward your healthiest lifestyle or you're a competitor learning to navigate life beyond prep, this episode will remind you that confidence, discipline, and food freedom are all built the same way: One decision at a time. In This Episode You'll Learn: Why one meal doesn't have to become one bad weekend The real reason most women keep repeating the same cycle How identity influences your eating habits more than motivation Why recovering quickly matters more than being perfect Practical ways to break the "I'll start over Monday" mindset How the RARE Reset Framework helps create lasting change Your Action Steps This Week ✔️ Notice the story you tell yourself after an imperfect meal. ✔️ Practice getting back on track with your very next meal instead of waiting for Monday. ✔️ Look for evidence that you're growing—even if it's small.
