Falling Into Yourself with Siobhan Middleton

Do you actually want the life you’re living? Not—is it a good life? Not—should you be grateful for it? Not—does it make sense to everyone else? But do YOU want it? In this conversation from the Falling In series, Pamela sits down with Siobhan J. Middleton, founder of Freedom is the Lifestyle™, for an honest, freeing conversation about what happens when women stop living according to who they were taught they should be and begin asking themselves what they actually want. For more than 12 years, Siobhan has worked with women who did everything “right” and still found themselves wondering, Is this it? Her work centers on helping women unlearn good-girl conditioning, reconnect with their own desires and step into what she calls their grown-ass woman energy—the place where permission no longer has to come from somewhere outside of themselves. But this conversation isn’t about blowing up your life. It’s not about leaving your marriage, moving across the country or making the same choices Siobhan has made. It’s about something much more personal: Choosing. Pamela and Siobhan explore what it means to choose yourself without abandoning the people you love, how to honor the “good girl” who helped you become who you are without allowing her to keep running your life, and why self-trust isn’t about always making the right decision. Sometimes self-trust simply means knowing: Whatever happens next, I trust myself to navigate it. They also talk about love, relationships, permission, possibility and what choosing yourself looks like not just in the big, courageous moments—but on a random Tuesday. Because maybe freedom isn’t about creating a life that looks like Siobhan’s—or Pamela’s—or anyone else’s. Maybe freedom begins when you finally ask: Do I want MY life? And give yourself permission to listen to the answer.  This is Falling In. About Siobhan J. Middleton Siobhan J. For 12+ years, she’s worked with women who did everything right and still woke up wondering, Is this it? Her work comes down to one thing: helping women choose themselves. Through her FREEDOM Method and The Freedom Circle, her membership community, Siobhan helps women get clear on what they actually want. She’s not interested in fixing anybody. She’s interested in reminding women that they get to choose themselves—and they get to be free. Falling In Love With Yourself with Carla Hudson

What if you don’t have to wait until you’re completely healed to start living? In this conversation from the Falling In series, Pamela sits down with Carla Hudson, founder of Commitment to You, for an honest conversation about self-love, worthiness, healing—and what happens when surviving your life is no longer enough. Carla has walked through seasons that required her to survive. But somewhere along the way, the question changed. It was no longer simply, “How do I get through this?” It became: “How do I want to live?” Pamela and Carla talk about what it really means to make a commitment to yourself after spending years caring for others, navigating difficult seasons and learning how to choose yourself again. They explore boundaries, worthiness, letting go of other people’s expectations and one of the most powerful ideas from their conversation: Sometimes we are healed through living. Maybe healing isn’t something we have to finish before we’re allowed to experience joy. Maybe the trip, the new experience, the community, the laughter, the risk, the dream—or simply allowing ourselves to participate fully in our own lives—can become part of how we heal. Because self-love isn’t only about how you feel about yourself. Sometimes it’s deciding: I am worthy of living now.  This is Falling In. Falling Into Your Strength with Diana Patton

What else are you capable of? That question sits at the heart of this episode of Falling In. Pamela sits down with Diana R. Patton, Esq., an attorney, former corporate executive, author, advocate and Strength Strategist who has spent decades helping people recognize and step into their authentic power. Now, at 58, Diana is exploring another expression of her own strength as she prepares to step onto a competitive bodybuilding stage for the first time. But this conversation isn’t really about bodybuilding. It’s about strength. It’s about what happens when a woman who has spent decades knowing the power of her mind, voice and leadership begins discovering another expression of that power through her body. Pamela and Diana talk about authentic power, menopause, discipline, advocacy, learning to work with your body instead of fighting against it, and the self-trust required to step into something you’ve never done before. And with Diana’s competition still ahead, neither of them knows how this particular chapter will end. But maybe that’s the point. Sometimes you don’t need to know the outcome before you say yes to discovering what you’re capable of. Because the muscle may be visible, but the self-trust is the story.  This is Falling In. Own It

What if some of the woman you’ve been working so hard to become is already here? This week on The Well Done Life, we’re closing out the conversation that began with Courageous Decisions and continued with Stand On It: Courage Has Consequences. We’ve talked about making the decision. We’ve talked about standing on it when other people don’t understand it. Now it’s time to own it. Doing this series gave me an opportunity to reflect on the decisions I’ve made for myself, my family and my life—and to recognize something powerful: I’m worth it. And I’m worth trusting. In this episode, we’re talking about what happens when you stop treating yourself like a perpetual renovation project and recognize that some of the work you’ve been doing is actually working. We’re talking about healing without making healing our identity. Therapy as a tool rather than a place we constantly go searching for what’s wrong. Recognizing the fruit of our consistency. Trusting the skills we’ve developed. Allowing ourselves to experience peace without waiting for the other shoe to drop. And most importantly, we’re talking about giving ourselves permission to LIVE. Owning yourself doesn’t mean you’ve arrived. You can still grow, learn, apologize, change your mind, ask for help and discover new things about yourself. The difference is that instead of constantly asking, “What’s wrong with me?” you begin from a place of “I trust myself to handle what comes next.” Maybe becoming isn’t always about turning into somebody new. Maybe sometimes becoming is finally giving yourself permission to be who you’ve been all along. You made the courageous decision. You stood on it. Now own it. Walk in it. Rest in it. Enjoy the fruit—and keep tending what God has trusted you to grow.   Listen to The Well Done Life wherever you get your podcasts Connect with me: Instagram: @thewelldonelife Threads: @thewelldonelife  Email: hello@thewelldonelife.com and thewelldonelife@gmail.com  Thank you for listening. Stand On It: Courage Has Consequences

Making the courageous decision is one thing. Standing on it when people don’t like your decision is something else entirely. This week on The Well Done Life, we’re continuing the conversation from “Courageous Decisions” and talking about what happens after you choose yourself, establish the boundary, make the change, or finally say no. Because courage has consequences. Sometimes people you love won’t understand your decision. Sometimes they’ll be disappointed. Sometimes your growth changes their access to you or disrupts expectations they had for your life. And sometimes people will try to use their feelings, disappointment, or history with you to convince you to reconsider. But here’s the thing: people are allowed to have feelings about your decisions. Their feelings don’t automatically get authority over them. In this episode, we’re talking about: The aftermath of courageous decisionsAllowing people to have their feelings without taking responsibility for fixing themRecognizing when feelings become leverageThe difference between being stubborn and being groundedListening to wise counsel without handing over the wheelWhy over-explaining can turn into seeking approvalThe guilt that can come with establishing boundariesAccepting that standing on your values may cost you somethingTrusting yourself enough to stand on the decisions you’ve madeStanding on business doesn’t mean being cold, dismissive, or unwilling to listen. It means knowing your values, examining your choices, accepting accountability when necessary, and understanding that someone else’s discomfort doesn’t automatically mean you’ve done something wrong. So this week, I want you to ask yourself: Is there something I genuinely need to reconsider—or am I questioning myself because someone else is uncomfortable with my decision? You made the courageous decision. Now comes the next part. Courage has consequences. Stand on it anyway.  Listen to The Well Done Life wherever you get your podcasts. #TheWellDoneLife #StandOnIt #CourageousDecisions #Boundaries #PersonalGrowth #IntentionalLiving #WomenOver40 Thank you for listening.
